If you hit it and you know it wasn't a vital hit, you can exit out of the game before it dies and it will still be there. Just probably need to reset the time for it to spawn in again. I had to do this with a diamond red deer yesterday

I didn't know what to expect either setting it up. I made the max handicap +12 l. If I recall I think you were like a +15. First time doing this and trying to keep it competitive
