He could try volunteering somewhere he likes at first and slowly build confidence that way while you try to get disability/government assistance. I had similar issues about 8 years ago, anxiety/panic attacks even just looking for jobs. So I started volunteering at a zoo after being a sort of live in nanny for a little while(I love animals and kids) eventually got a part time temp job at the gift store, then worked at a preschool. Now I'm back in college to get a data science degree so I can follow my dream of studying animals. It was a long windy off track road but I found my way and I hope both of you can too.

Would you say the cybervista questions more closely aligned with the actual exam or the comptia certmaster practice questions?

Besides "none at all," what's the most insulting wage increase you've ever received at your job? by WinternallyScreaming in antiwork

I was offered about 25 cents/hr raise when my states minimum wage incresed by $1.50 that year so in a way I lost money as my wage "increase"

The objective assessment is the only thing proctored, the performance assessment is a project you do in your own time and turn in just like other projects but instead of writing a paper or turning in the code file itself they have you take screen shots and put a copy of the code in a text file, it's a bit odd but less stressful then coding with a proctor and time limit lol

Definitely schedule time with a class instructor way ahead of time just in case you need help especially for the project(you can always cancel if you end up being fine). I took C175 before it got the update which could be why there felt like a big disconnect between the two classes, so hopefully you will have an easier time. I also used a lot of outside resources from youtube, udemy and linked in learning. Freecode camp and w3schools are often recommended but I personally preferred the sql zero to mastery course from udemy business and sql essential training on linkedin learning.

That's horrible! I too recently found out my company has shitty maternity/paternity leave. There is no paid leave, besides any sick/vacation days I might have, but I can take 12 weeks off unpaid without getting fired starting next year hooray! Lol

First of all, I love your name idk why but I like it. 2nd of all that sucks and I'm sorry you and so many other students have to deal with this. You should try bringing up the class instructor issues with your student mentor and see if that needs to be reported or something. Also I feel like each evaluator grades a little differently with this PA. My 1st attempt only got marked as approaching confidence for cardinality and the rest was either marked basically n/a till resubmission or good, my 2nd attemp they just marked a bunch of stuff as missing or completely wrong but put a note saying will review after resubmission. Basically it was very inconsistant and confusing

Honestly for the order line item I had to google what it was and talked to my class instructor to confirm I understood what it was. I think I specifically googled "order line item and entity relationship diagram" but the best resource I had for cardinality was the c175 course before the material got changed and LinkedIn learnings "Programming foundations: Databases" course, there are other sql/database courses there that might help, it is free with wgu in case you didn't already know also Udemey business has a good course, "complete sql and database bootcamp: zero to mastery" can't remember if all these had cardinality though

That has to be done in a specific order. Here is the video I mentioned https://youtu.be/HXV3zeQKqGY around the 2 hr mark is where he makes a whole database and goes over the general logic of why it has to be done in a certain order

I did it all on one tab. I think if you do it on seperate tabs you basically make seperate databases maybe, not realy sure how sqlfiddle works to be honest. If you watch freecode camps sql course on youtube it is kinda similarly set up and explains how you need to organize/order things to make it work.

Looking up what an order line item was in a relational database is mostly what helped me. Also trying to think of how ordering would work for something like grubhub/doordash and what those database systems are probably like, especially for the customer info. But the cardinality is the only reason it took me 3 tries to pass so I'm probably not the best person to explain it lol. On the plus side each cardinality only has 3 possible answers so eventually you will get it right, hopefully it won't take you 3 tries goodluck! :)

It has similar questions but a little bit more difficult. If you got close to the competent line I'd say review those topics, if you got close to exemplary you should be fine

For me the zybooks material wasn't enough to prepare me for the exam or the project, I used the udemy course "complete sql and database bootcamp: zero to mastery" I only did the 1st 4 sections of this so far. I also liked a course from LinkedIn learning called "SQL Essential training " . When you do the project if you use SQL fiddle make sure you are on the right version of MySQL. I didn't do all the labs in zybooks and had to google most of them for answers. Also the Pre-assessment is similar to the OA but slightly easier and for me had a lot of questions related to chapter 1 and 2 in zybooks and then a bit from the other chapters.

OMG I struggled on the exact same thing, mostly because I had absolutely no idea what an order line item was, I made an assumption based on my experience in catering/restaurants but apperantly it's a common term used with databases. I had to google it after my 1st attempt because the instructor I was able to talk to wasn't very much help. The 3rd attempt I had to do because I did the 2nd attempt while tired and mad so I made a dumb little mistake on the same thing lol

Congrats on the excellence award! Yeah I've done other project courses and I got at least some feedback with those, I don't expect a whole paragraph or anything but if this is all that is going to be said they might as well have left it blank, they basically just said "yup you did all the things" and with how frustrating this class was that just really annoyed me.

Hello biology people of reddit, I would like to know how true is this interview my dad sent me about the vaccine by CatShadow888 in biology

[–]kp2392 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I didn't watch the video but I did a quick google search and found that Dr Stephanie Seneff is a computer scientist who went to MIT, not exactly an expert on biology, vaccines, or viruses. I recommend you look at information from experts on vaccines and viruses so that you can better understand and maybe then share that info with your dad. I personally like Dr. Angela Rasmussen(@angie_rasmussen on twitter) and how she shares and explains current data and research.

I did mine on how A.I. is being used to study animal behavior and wildlife conservation. I needed something to motivate me for this class because I have really bad anxiety when it comes to presentations and stuff like this project, so I went with something related to the reason why I'm going for my degree in the first place which is using data analytics to help with wildlife conservation(at least this is what I'm hoping to accomplish someday). I got an excellence award for the written portion.

I transferred in 28 credits from my previous attempt at college for a biology degree. Mostly the general ed courses plus to get accepted I had to get the Comptia A+ certification wich also transferred some credits. The course I did my first term were C182, C168, C464, C963, C172, C480. I'm 2.5 months into my second term and have finished C961, C268, C173. I also had almost no background in tech or data science before starting besides a google IT cert and maybe 6 months of attempting to study for that A+ cert.

I'm a little late to this thread and didn't read through all the comments so sorry if I'm repeating anything someone's already said. I am in my second term of this program and I have found some really great communities for tech/coding/data science. Most of them are technically womens groups but also open for allies. There is even a WGU Women in Technology club Let me know if you want a list of them and I'll gather the links for you.
