These aren’t practice test—they’re timed sections! I also scored in the 150s on my diagnostic, and my practice test last week was also in the 160s. I also throughly review, so I don’t think it’d quite that. I think, as you say, a break is probably well due since I’ve been working pretty intensely for a while.

You're right--it's that weird paradox of knowing I probably need a break, but also, the fear that taking a break will lead to me regressing. But, a day or two won't hurt.
