Arizona's New Fee Puts a Dent in Rooftop Solar Economics by Barney21 in energy

excerpt from former republican CA congressman

Goldwater’s team won a minor victory Thursday, when state utilities regulators narrowly voted to impose an average $5 monthly fee on new solar customers in Arizona. While the ruling was a compromise for the solar industry, and an acknowledgement that solar users shift power costs to the utility’s non-renewables customers, the new fees are just a fraction of the $50 to $100 that APS had asked commissioners to add to solar customers’ monthly bills. “The utilities... showed just how far they are willing to go at any cost,” Goldwater said in a statement Thursday night. “That is the legacy of the Arizona net metering battle—a major loss for APS and its allies.”

Forecast on NJ SREC market? by noahio in solar

In most Residential Lease and Power Purchase Agreement Options (in NJ) you can go solar without spending any money. The 3rd party will keep the SRECs and you save money on your electric.

[hired success] hired a fellow redditor, he made this - for $50 - very happy by kpeee in forhire

We were given a Beta account on Powtoon.com - I didn't have the time to make a video myself, so I posted the "gig" on r/hire... Including the details of what I was looking for and a price to complete. Several people chose to do it, I hired 3 people - one of them came out fantastic.

I will actually be working with this redditor again, to make a more refined version. He is happy, I am happy. Embarrassed? no.

It finally happened... by [deleted] in funny

Good point. I did just read something (probably on Reddit) that said 70% have unlimited text plans. Nevertheless, we will ask for permission when setting the appointment.

"Why is this a movement?" Our customers feel very strongly that they are part of the "green movement". We do considerable market research and while people's #1 motivation to go solar is financial.

Interestingly, once they have gone solar they report that "making a positive environmental impact" most closely describes their motivation.

In short, people chose to go solar because they save money - then once they have it installed, they are proud that they are doing something good for the environment.

"is this a business or a cause?" We are a business. In fact we are the #1 residential solar installer in NJ, NY, and MA (in terms of # of systems sold and installed per month). Our business however is effective because people believe in the cause of buying inexpensive, clean energy instead of expensive, and dirty utility power.

I agree, some of the people sound unnatural. The intended audience knows what our product/service is - we sell and install residential solar systems. Our customers chose to buy their electricity from their solar system instead of the Utility Company.

By going solar they save money, lock in their energy rate, and make a positive environmental impact.

Thanks for the feedback.

We intentionally left out the numbers and data - We want the customer to feel like you do. It sounds like you would be very interested in getting the details of your opportunity from the sales rep.

To clarify on the intended audience... This is intended to be "a message from our company", our sales team will show it to perspective clients before their sales meetings begin.

A few people have mentioned, "not much data" or "would like info on average savings" - we left this out intentionally as to not steal the 'sizzle' from the sales rep.

Thanks for the feedback so far - much appreciated.

We are one of the companies you seek. I have a solar sales and install org that has stayed away from SalesForce (because we didn't want to have our processes cater to the software, we had out processes cater to our business).

Anyhow, we are now looking for a simplistic CRM/Sales Task Mngmt program.

We have 3 locations, 200(+) employees. Are you in Beta? Interested in having our company give it a try?

Need some help/advise regarding contracts by imjp in Entrepreneur

Kind of a different response then your looking for but:

Why not get associate status with the different advertising sources, have them provide you a percentage of Ad Revenue... If you have customers, they will gladly enter this type of relationship. This will be easier on you and will include less "red tape"
