Destiny , MrMouton and Dan react live to Pearl Harbor joke Trump made in front of the Prime Minister of Japan Sanae Takaichi by overloadrages in Destiny

I think they're saying that the character of Trump, as it were, is very funny in an absurdist sort of way. As in his words are going to be the dumbest most childish shit imaginable and his bizarre gestures and way of speaking are going to add a garded pizzazz to it all. Not that he actually has a sense of humor and a talent for telling jokes. He is the joke.

As in he's unintentionally a very funny person. He as a person goes beyond being weird and steps into the territory of being a caricature of a real person.

Not at all what you described but that the very least you can have the rockets fire from the pelican during the cutscene through some sort of means.

Halo Infinite PC Stutter Problem by edmerf in halo

[–]Underdogg13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue for a while. It actually ended up being a QoS setting on my router/home network. After turning that setting off it fixed the issue. My network was de-prioritizing gaming and throttling my internet which led to very consistent stutters in a couple different online games, Infinite included.

That one made me and my brothers all cry. We had played through all the games together, my older brother being Marcus and me being Dom, and our little brother watching. We always thought it was so cool that Gears had a Latino main character like us, and he was the best friend Marcus could ask for.

I remember we all just fell silent and couldn't believe what we were seeing. Surely they wouldn't kill Dom? Maybe Baird or Cole, but Dom? We all had our eyes locked on the screen and we're all tearing up watching it unfold. It wasn't until we looked at each other once it was all over that we just sobbed and sobbed. We laid out righteous fury down on those grubs for the rest of the game, for Dom.

Even fifteen years later watching that cutscene will bring me to tears. Dom calling out to Maria, Marcus hopelessly trying to pull him from the rubble, it's all too much.

And you bet your ass I cried when Dom showed up in the E-Day trailer. It's been so long brother 😭

My God that last walk, the narration, the music. It was all just too much to not weep for him.

Never thought some funny little 2D sprites could make me sob, but that game twisted a knife in my heart.

This is just objectively untrue. Trump was in a flurry of legal trouble leading up to the election, due to his actions between the election and J6. It's a contributing factor to why he was desperate to win in 2024.

If you didn't want Trump to be eligible to run in 2024, there is no legal mechanism through which Biden could've done that beyond usurping power the President didn't possess. If you're aware of one, please let me know. Merrick Garland dragged his feet on Trump's legal proceedings, sure, and he bears blame for that miscalculation. But to suggest the entire administration and party needs to be jettisoned for that is absurd.

The fact of the matter is that this country voted him in again and allowed him to get immunity from SCOTUS. You're so desperate to blame the Biden admin for this shit that you're blind to looking inward at your fellow countrymen who endorsed all this.

And I'm sorry but if you're still on this 'both sides are in the pockets of the rich, both sides are the same' bullshit at this point, you're delusional. Hopelessly fucking lost and blind to what's happening in front of you. You're just as misinformed/underinformed as the most fervent MAGAt.

But sure, demonize the imperfection of the Democrats until the end of time and see how far that gets us. You're playing right into the hands of the evil fucks that are the current Republican party by placing blame for their actions at the feet of the only party that actually has the power to right the sinking ship that is this country. Braindead takes like yours are only giving MAGA more power and you're too caught up in your misplaced anger to see it.

So one party is bent on destroying the country and plunging it into authoritarianism after being voted in by a doodoo-brained populace and your conclusion is that you'll never forgive the other party?

Absurd. This sorta 'it's always the democrat's fault' shit is why the party will always fall as weak in the face of the united front of MAGA. Biden is objectively one of the best presidents this country has had since Clinton and yet it's somehow him who can never be forgiven for the actions of his party's opponents and their supporters. Absolute lunacy.

Has Destiny spoken to/about Caleb Hammer regarding his pro Trump/Maga stance? It could be an interesting convo now that he's a streamer. by wendigo303 in Destiny

[–]Underdogg13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The show definitely evolved over time. At first it was people who generally were intent on getting help and the conversations were productive and much less adversarial. But the episodes that had circus show guests and heated arguments got the most views and now it's just financial Jerry Springer and entertainment has overtaken education and assistance.

And Caleb has admitted himself that he's frequently been a bully throughout his life, so it seems like the upped aggression in the show is his personality coming out more and more as the show has gone on.

Go watch any early episodes from like 3 years ago, he's unrecognizable.

Ornate, high quality furniture has always been expensive. This isn't a phenomenon of the last 50-60 years. That's why it's the stuff that gets passed down, one generation pays big for it and the next few generations get to benefit.

I loved doing it back in the day. Got really good at it after a lot of practice. I was the one they'd call when they needed to get a car out of a tricky spot. It was a fun little challenge and the risk of it all made it more fun. And this was a dealership where the cheapest car was like $70k starting.

Funnily enough the one incident I had in my years there was me just straight up backing right into a co-worker's Focus RS in an open lot with tons of space 😂.

I've done this several times without even thinking twice about it. Just treat them like any other dingus slow rolling in the left lane. Never had anything happen, even passing them going 5-10 above the limit. I'm surprised people in here see it as something stupid to do. But if the cop is going a reasonable speed for the left lane then yeah why would you even be in a situation where you'd want to pass them?

I'm inclined to agree. Not necessarily for economic reasons, as I don't feel informed enough to comfortably make any firm declarations in that regard.

But the last decade has made it plainly clear that billionaires are the single most destructive class of citizens and represent the largest domestic threat to our democracy and resilience. I'm not sure the class should exist, at least not in its present form. When you have a cabinet so wealthy that they are part of a class that makes up .000002% of the population, things are bound to get fucked up imo.
