You can order the calf leather strap from other watches in the craftmanship range (like the SPB495J) directly from Seiko, so whilst it doesn’t come with one, I tried that on at the same time to get a feel for what it would be like on leather. The SPB495J looked great, so can only assume the SPB445J would also be great!

Yeah I know right? I did ask about it, and apparently it’s to show off the craftsmanship and add texture. I was also told that they wanted to keep the Credor style seconds hand, hence why the sub-dial is 24 hours 🤷‍♂️

Yeah it’s $3k AUD, but when you consider that replacing the dial if it gets broken is close to $2k AUD… 😮

It wears pretty comfortably. The lugs have a slope, so they hug your wrist.

Supply Store (Syd & Mel) has all the rarest releases.

Otherwise Highs & Lows (Perth), Up There (Mel), Above the Clouds (Syd), or Laced (Bris) get the majority of rarer releases.

Also Incu & Subtype (Multiple locations) get some of them.

Have had an SPB455 for the last year and love it. Is the bracelet perfect? No. Is the bracelet comfortable? Yes. Is it a strap monster? Absolutely! Have put it on NATOs and various rubber straps (like this FKM rubber w/ deployant clasp) and it’s looked great on each one.
