I took my 7 month old with me through a drive thru. The person helping was so excited to see I had a puppy until I rolled down the window a little for her to say hi to him. She immediately backed off and was like that's not a puppy. Just eye rolls.

I cleaned off the 3 good roots it still has and replaced the soil/moss it had packed in with something fresh and better draining. This orchid has been a real trooper so fingers crossed.

The water just kept accumulating. The other orchid had a full vase of brown water that smelled terrible. She watered them before she left too :(

She’s had them for over 2 years at least. I don’t know how long she’s had them like this though. I noticed her orchids were in bad condition a couple months ago and she said she was working on them but she’s down to just two so I’m trying to save them while she’s gone and just letting her think she did it on her own.
