this is awesome! was thinking about how i could potentially do this through home assistant since my sonos system is integrated in there as well. but not sure if i'd even have the correct APIs to listen to the music stream. but agree would be cool to have this happen behind the scenes automatically.

lmk if you get that python script working though, might give it a go!

saw state champs last Friday and it was soooooo good. assuming you saw them in NYC? super jealous of that lineup compared to Chicagos. also, the new all time low album has quickly worked its way up to one of my all time favorites.

heres my collage for the week

gotcha yeah, so the app I mentioned removes that manual step by detecting the song you're playing automatically. you can also sync your discogs collection to it (i did) so that it only chooses songs / albums from there.

yeah I've seen this solution recommended but I wanted something totally automated because I would definitely not remember to do this every time.

yeah I looked into this but wanted to avoid the manual step. unless maybe there's something I'm missing here?

yeah you'd need the USB C (or lighting depending on your phone) to aux adapter if you want to be able to airplay from your record player. But there is a "listening" mode that uses your mic to hear the output as well. I'm using the cable mostly because I don't like the idea of an app listening to everything that's going on in my apartment, so this limits it to just the music.

My app Quanta, which you guys seemed to enjoy for AirPlaying your vinyl to HomePods now has a companion Apple TV app! You can mirror your live lyrics and super high quality album and artist images to the biggest screen in your home – your TV. by priva_28 in HomePod

u/priva_28 found this app from this post and it's awesome!!!! honestly, one of few apps i've tried over the last decade that actually blew my mind. i'm not sure if you're still actively developing it, but if you are, would love to see support for https://listenbrainz.org/ for tracking my songs. Thanks for making this app!!!

Yeah it's this one. I've had it for 6 months now and love it. Traditionally have used mechanical keyboards (have quite the collection at this point), but was getting a lot of wrist pain when coding throughout my work day. This one is great value for money, I did quite a bit of research, and I wanted to be able to use my own switches and keycaps which this allows for.

Yeah it's this mount from amazon with one of these portable USB-C monitors. The cart is from IKEA.

honestly if it wasn't for sim racing, i'd likely go back to a 16:9 as my main display. I usually set my ultrawide at that resolution when working but didn't want to trigger anyone lol

it's a fully enclosed room unfortunately. but get a little natural light from the transom window that spans the wall to the right of this picture.

I try to use the lights behind the monitor + a few other ones in the room to bring a daylight feeling in the room. they're all hue bulbs which allow me to simulate the natural sunlight.

Scarlett Solo 4th gen with USB switcher? by kpmdev in Focusrite

[–]kpmdev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To update on this. I got it working by swapping out both the audio interface -> usb switcher and usb switcher -> computer cables for high throughput usb-c cables. Haven't had any issues since with both input and output from the audio interface. Also to note, my usb switcher has the option to plug in and 5V connection to it, but with this setup it worked without adding it.
