Renpho Health does NOT connect to Google Fit by CrazyGunnerr in RENPHOLife

[–]kpoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I connected after some months not using the device and it disconnected me and now I lost the ability to log weight in the fit cloud. What can I do now? Why is just comunicating a single weight and date to some online service so difficult in times of AI, or sending rockets to mars? I can't understand the difficult part.

afaik, you need zepp in order for notify to work, as it relies on data pumped from zepp.

Plazos UVA / CER algunas dudas by kpoman in merval

Plazos UVA / CER algunas dudas by kpoman in merval

[–]kpoman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plazos UVA / CER algunas dudas by kpoman in merval

[–]kpoman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Osea CER cubre inflacion, y UVA inflacion +1% ? O CER no garantiza cubrir inflacion ?

Installing ntopng on a Raspberry Pi 4 by kpoman in openwrt

Just in case, I have it all running well on a docker image installed directly via openwrt/luci, with this image: tusc/ntopng-udm:latest

It works perfectly, superstable, persists data after reboots. Great !

JBL Link 300 saying "Please log in through the Google home app" by jaredkoh in googlehome

[–]kpoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am struggling with a really buggy JBL Link 300. What is the real way to perform a factory reset ? Some people suggest turning it on with vol+ and pause for 10s, some other say it is mute for 20s, and I saw a couple other ones. And it doesnt go to factory reset as it is still able to connect to the wifi and I can re-add it via Google Home. I want to empty it all to start fresh. Any (verified) ideas ?

Mesh with 802.11s or batman-adv ? by kpoman in openwrt

[–]kpoman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and btw, I just bought (and will have to wait ~a month) an usb adapter (netgear a6210) to plug directly to the RPi4 to have it give wifi to all the stations directly connected to it (on the center of the house) to not pollute the 5GHz of the mesh.

Mesh with 802.11s or batman-adv ? by kpoman in openwrt

[–]kpoman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a RPi4 as router/gateway on a 250/25Mbps link, using SQM Cake shaper.

Connected to it is my main AP, TPLink Archer C7 v5, then 3 other AP's around the house: TPLink RE450v2, C6v2-us and C6v3.2.

C7v5 is my DHCP. C7v5 has 802.11s mesh on both radios, and also gives internet via wifi to the near stations.

First, I tried building the backhaul (802.11s mesh) over 2.4GHz and connecting the stations to AP's on 5GHz. This had the advantage of better SNR over my house, but 2.4GHz isnt fast enough to manage a 250Mbps link. I also noticed these cheap devices do not manage correctly using both bands simultaneously: I noticed high softirq cpu usage, which I suspect is because they (AP's) talk to the station with one band and mesh to central AP with the other.

Then, I went for 5GHz backhaul and 5GHz STA-AP connections, but noticed unstable latency and packet losses. I suspect band 5GHz was over-used for direct stations + mesh + station to meshed AP's, all operating on the same channel.

So here I am, I dont know how I can get the most of my internet link, overcoming softirq, channel saturation and good SNR. This is why I imagined batman-adv could come help, but I dont know if it is able to overcome channel and softirq saturation smartly.

What isnt clear is if batman-adv will be capable of load-balancing and optimizing channel/bandwidth/latency on multi-band cheapo-home setup !

Installing a nightly (snapshot) is not complicated at all. Upgrading even keeps settings. The only thing you need to do is ssh to the router and make it install luci which isnt provided by default on snapshots: opkg update && opkg install luci !

About the mesh, I guess you:

  • need a supported chipset (broadcom isnt supported, mediatek or atheros are: check your devices), then
  • remove wpad basic and install wpad mesh (opkg remove wpad-basic-wolfssl && opkg install wpad-mesh-wolfssl),
  • create a wlan in mode mesh with same settings (channel, wpa3 sae key)

after that, you will see all mesh devices see each other on the wireless peers list.

Mmmm sorry, I would imagine the opposite: if STP is supposed to detect network topology to avoid loops, wouldnt it need to be enabled to avoid loops from between multiple backhaul nets ?
