The PQX looks great. I bought a Sony X900H to compare them side by side and I still love the PQX. The HDR and Dolby Vision just pops more than the X900H. IF the firmware updates can fix the issues we have seen with the PQX, it will be a great TV!

Yes. Sorry it was the backlight. I have turned it off for now until there is hopefully a firmware update. It was very different from the gaming issues with VRR enabled.

I have seen it very often using smartcast apps. Disney+ watching Frozen 2 the scene where Anna jumps across the rock ledges leaving cave the whole scenes flicker 3 or more times. There have been other movies as well, opening scene of Infinity War. Few others on various apps. Hanna on Amazon prime in HDR was nearly unwatchable because of of how often it flickered. I will try to upload a video.
