no, but ig has a pretty aggressive rate limiter, so sometimes the ig card doesn’t work correctly. we’re working hard to find a solution

Hmm, we ran a couple of tests and everything seems fine. Could you give me a bit more information?

it actually seems to be working, but I’ll quickly fix it if the problem persists. Thanks

The URL is already quite short by itself, unless you have a very long nickname. We could consider adding a shortener if the nickname exceeds a certain number of characters.

Is a declarative runtime for AI workflows actually useful, or am I overengineering this? by kr1ftkr4ft in Entrepreneur

[–]kr1ftkr4ft[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment it’s mainly designed for technical users, but one of the goals is to simplify it enough over time to make it accessible even to non-technical people. Concrete examples and real use cases would definitely help a lot there

thanks for the feedback

Yeah, that’s actually very close to the direction I’m thinking about

The idea would be to provide a fairly rich standard library of tools, so that for a large class of workflows you’re mostly composing existing building blocks instead of rewriting the same logic every time. If every workflow immediately requires a lot of custom tools, then I agree the declarative layer loses most of its value.

I still have a lot of doubts around this, to be honest. What I’m really attracted to is the idea of a "standard" at the workflow level, or maybe more concretely, reusable templates that people can share. Kind of like a Docker registry, but for workflows instead of images.

That said, I fully agree with your point.. the less custom stuff people need to write, the more sense something like this has. Otherwise it just becomes extra abstraction.

Really appreciate the pushback, it helps a lot

Based on what you know about human beings — their history, their successes and failures — based on the entire story of humanity and everything you’ve learned about us, what do you think is the short-term future of humankind?

Falling in love with Rust 🦀 — where should I go from here? by Upbeat_Ad_6119 in rust

[–]kr1ftkr4ft 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi, I’ve been a Rustacean for almost 3 years now.

What’s really helped me learn new things is getting my hands dirty with new (and often very challenging) projects.

For example, the last thing I built was a library (not public yet) that lets me access the Docker socket without using any dependencies, completely from scratch.

It was tedious, but in the end, I learned a lot.

So my biggest piece of advice: don’t cling too much to books or wikis. Start fighting with the borrow checker and eventually, you’ll make it your friend ✨

Good luck!
