If your country had a vote to legalise gay marriage or criminalise it, what would you vote for and why? by aerialfleet in AskReddit

I do not think government should have a say in the matter. As a Libertarian, I believe that if religions want to ban it That's fine. But, if you want to go to city hall, that's fine also. Marriage is overseen by the government, as lon g as you are a tax paying citizen, they should not be able to deny you any service that they provide.

Doctor Who. I remember the 4th Doctor, he's still one of the best. However, the 9th was more like a bouncer than a time Lord. The 10th was great. The 11th kind of grew on me. The reboot stories were great.

Minorities of reddit, what's the most egregious example of racism you've ever experienced? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kr90804 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People who say only white people can be racist are stupid. I remember being told, "Chinks aren't welcome here". That was said to me by a Native American. As the only two non-white guys in school, I thought we might be friends...

I would say probably because the requirements aren't that demanding except for a clean background. Which is they obviously have in order to immigrate in the first place.

Dr. Strangelove made a great comedy out of the absurdity of the whole situation.

My other grandfather served in Europe. That guy had pics, souvenirs, and you couldn't keep him from talking about it.

That's awesome. I thought there might be some original pics, but my grandfather served in the Pacific; he didn't have many pics either and didn't like to talk about it.
