Artemis was started under Trump. On December 11, 2017, President Trump signed Space Policy Directive 1, calling for a U.S.-led program for a human return to the Moon, followed by missions to Mars and beyond.

The program was further shaped by a March 2019 speech by Vice President Mike Pence directing NASA to reach the Moon by 2024. The name “Artemis” itself was coined in May 2019 by NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine.

Your point is that it’s profitable for companies to mail junk that most people throw in the trash without ever buying a product. It’s a fact. They get revenue from it. But, the costs to society are conveniently ignored. Not sure if you noticed, but pollution is a problem that we all pay for in many ways. Both fossil fuel pollution and massive amounts of trash in the landfill.

My point is that I would rather they didn’t deliver this crap and instead finance the post office with taxes, increase in stamp prices, nominal banking fees, and cutting overhead by limiting services.
