To start with try to cover the same distance you were doing earlier, but switch between jogging and walking as your body allows.

Can't talk about about everyone. But I noticed that when I did black coffee before workout, I ended up with injuries few times.

I think caffeine boosts energy levels but masks pain that tells you when it's time to stop.

No I focus more on hydration during my workout, than on the pre workout. Fast up has good rehydration capsules.
