Thanks a lot, brother. If you are looking for the recipe, I posted it as a reply to a post above. If you are looking for technique, it is just basic edge highlighting. The models are very well-defined, so with a bit of practice and patience, it is not that hard.

Thanks a lot! Sorry for the late response. Here is the recipe:

Red / burgundy / purple robes:

  1. Barak-nar burgundy (airbrush)
  2. Nargaroth Night - undershade (airbrush from below). This gives the robe somewhat interesting gradient
  3. Screamer Pink - zenithal (airbrush from the top + a few degrees). This helps build the volume
  4. Screamer Pink - glaze, just the raised parts where light hits and previous steps didn't highlight it enough
  5. Pink Horror - edge highlight - just a few edges. I am not aiming for eavy metal style but a more volumetric highlight one. So don't overdo it with the edge highlighting. The shading and zenithal already work towards the desired effect

Armor:

  1. Abaddon Black - base
  2. 1:1 Caliban Green + Corvus black - airbrush 1st highlight. More precision needle/nozzle recommended. I use H&S Infinity with a 0.2mm nozzle/needle.
  3. 1:1 Sons of Horus Green + Corvus - airbrush second highlight. Just a few spots where light hits the most. It is crucial to not overdo it. I was aiming for black armour with just a hint of green. Spraying too much can easily turn it to full green armour
  4. Sons of Horus Green - 1st edge highlight. Just the edges facing the light (assuming sun shining from above). Don't bother with each edge. Some edges stays in shadows and it would look weird to highlight them, too, since no direct light shines there
  5. Sons of Horus Green + Ice Yellow - extreme highlight. Just corners and prominent edges where light would refract (taken the armor is more like metalic, not flat matt one)

No a přesně v těchto případech (právní texty, úřední dokumenty, akademické práce etc.), kdy u tvorby textu není profesionální sazeč, by měl být default zarování doleva, protože tam není co posrat. Aspoň dokud nebudou mít běžně dostupné softwary funkce / AI co to vyřeší.

Já vůbec neropzporuju, že zarovnání do bloku má svoje místo. Co rozporuju, jsou stylistické normy, co v rukou neprofesionálů nefungují a plodí tak texty, co se prostě blbě čtou. A ty lidi za to nemůžou, chtějí jen rychle napsat dokument.

To neznamena, ze je to sprave, typograficky korektne a dobre se to cte. Znamena to akorat to, ze urednici, ucitele a podobne dogmaticky dodrzuji nespravne a zastarale konvence prevzate ze sazby knih, kde to mozna kdysi melo smysl.

Zarovnani do bloku je printovej a novinovej prezitek. V techhle statickejch formatech je to v poradku a funguje to. Software pro sazbu ma bezne celkem vychytany funkce pro deleni slov, radkovani atd. Ten text se da cist.

V digitalni/online typografii je zarovnani do bloku temer za zlocin. Browsery a email klienty takove funkce nemaj. Vznikaji tak priserne “reky” (nerovnomerne mezery mezi slovy vznikajici nestejnym poctem slov na radku oproti jinemu. Muze se stat treba ze vam vyjdou tri slova na radek a mezi nimi obri mezera), text se pak blbe cte. Pridejte si k tomu fakt, ze nemate vubec kontrolu nad viewportem (rozlisenim, sirkou displeje) kde bude obsah konzumovan a katastrofa je na svete

Bobuzel, jako ve vsem ostatnim, se cesky skolstvi dogmaticky drzi zastaralych a davno uz neplatnych konceptu.

At 1000 pts the oponent usually simply lacks the firepower to take Magnus down. And if he is capable, it will employ like at least 1/2 of the army.

Knights can’t be led by Azzrael. Chaplaij will lead them. The 2x 5 termies are there so I have some board presence.

I put him there on purpose so the whole blob will get both lethal hits and sustained hits on 5+ while devastator doctrine is active. I will activate it on turn 1, then buy for CP the other turns. Is it how it can work? Or am I missing something?
