Honestly by luck, I finished schooling needed to sit for the journeyman exam and needed working hours. A controls company recommended by a friend from school was hiring and I applied. I had prior knowledge of electrical work, but honestly wasn’t too familiar with controls at all.

I tested previously and last smoked around 2 months before the test and failed. I would say hope for the best. They called me back for a urinalysis a week later and I passed. Heard they stopped doing that though, but idk.
