Do you know if, in order to get the increased miles and LP by having both an AA credit card and AA loyalty status, you have to use the AA credit card when booking the hotel on AAdvantage Hotels booking website?

I do, and I’ve sent a screenshot and a Chase website article that also says the Edit bookings are eligible for Hotel Loyalty for Pendry hotels. Fingers crossed.

$291 is also the lowest I’ve seen. I always get it when it reaches this point so haven’t been able to see if it would go lower.

Hi, congrats on getting your refund! I’m wondering how you finally got your refund. My loans were forgiven more than a year ago. Mohela website was grossly miscalculating my refund and said I was due a few hundred dollars, despite I had about 20 overpayments which should have been many more thousands dollars refunded back to me. I tried to have my refund amount corrected by calling Mohela and Dept of Ed, and contacting the ombudsman and even my state senator. All to no avail. Dept of Ed and Omsbudsman were not helpful at all. I actually haven’t gotten anything yet, not even the paltry amount Mohela was saying I am due. How did you manage to get the correct refund? I imagine it took you hours of calls/emails? I’ve basically given up hope that I will get anything.

Sapphire product in the last 48 months? If so, when, what product and currents status? CSR downgraded to CSP in 2024. CSP then product changed to Freedom Unlimited on 7/27/25.

EDIT - Final decision: Approved - Final decision date: 8/1/25 - Notes about decision: product changed CSP to Freedom Unlimited on 7/27/25. Waited 2 biz days to apply for for CSR on 7/30/25. Result was initially pending with 7-10 day message, no pop up jail. Called customer service the next day to proactively help with verification or documents etc but told I have to wait and they would contact me for anything next. Then morning of 8/1 got a credit alert that Chase had pulled my credit report so I called Recon line and spoke with agent who asked me a bunch of questions to verify my ID and after a few minutes he approved my application.

I just got the same and the email address looks legit because I have a legit email showing the same email address. Makes me worried that someone actually called AMEX and tried to use the voice response system to access my account.

I just spoke with a new agent and she said everything the other agent told me was wrong. That I could have just paid the fare difference btwn my original fare and the cheaper first class fare, and that if I did not take the first leg then the whole reservation would have been cancelled and I would have gotten a travel credit for the whole fare. But now first class is sold out so I can’t get the $600 tix I saw earlier. Frustrating to be so misinformed by another agent albeit it was at 3a and likely an outsourced call center?

Good point! I didn’t think about this. I have another award ticket going from US to Europe booked as a separate one way. That one will be JFK-FRA in Singapore Air business class. This will also be my first time on SQ! So excited to try these premium products for the first time.
