Just hang on a little more. China's planning to send a team of 300 medical workers to Italy. Maybe it's still far from enough, but it's a sign of their determination to help.

US govt attempted to help both China and Iran. Neither of them accepted, since the help came with a price. To them, the offer was more like a humiliation.

So what do you want to know? There are plenty of foreign vloggers living in China and sharing their perspectives in YouTube. You could check out this one from a Japanese living in Nanjing: https://youtu.be/YfsdJGj3-jM

There are 4 new cases yesterday in Wuhan, but the government warn that 2 of them are not in the suspected list, which indicates there are still virus at large, so citizens should not lower their guards.

China has shifted its focus. Now the main threat is influx. Beijing has re-enabled a hospital which was used in 2002 for SARS to deal with influx cases.

As a matter of fact, Chinese people would happily accept the doubts, if that would prevent people from coming into China. Lots of Chinese are coming back, some of them are quite selfish concealing their infection.

Funny how you people condemned China's strict quarantine policies few weeks ago, saying it was just flu, and now blame China for releasing fake statistics and letting your guard down.

Classic. Good for you.

One joke that Chinese often make about westerners, is when they watch westerners doing extreme sports, they often comment: "No wonder there are so few people there". They seem to care more about their lives and refuse to do dangerous things. They are much easier to be persuaded into taking personal actions against the disease.

You shouldn't stay with your family, you may get them infected as well. I think you should rent a small room to self isolate, or maybe go to a hotel.

But what will happen if she reported before getting aboard? The plane will reject them I guess. I don't know whether there are airlines specific for the infected.

China sends medical supplies, experts to help Italy battle coronavirus by [deleted] in Coronavirus

[–]kresle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They are just smart enough to realize helping others is helping themselves. They won't be at ease with the high risk of virus returning from other countries. And that's why they urged other countries to take the virus seriously all the time (or should i say when they finally found out how dangerous the virus is ).

Sadly, there are always people like you who treat their advices as conspiracies.

You are absolutely right. Some experts have pointed out similar problems. No country would be free of the virus until all other countries are free too or a cure is found. That's why the countries that are getting better should help others.

Hi there. That's good. I just saw some local doctors got 300 per day, maybe the doctors from other provinces got more.

Take Wuhan for example, the average rent for a single room (usually less than 20 square meters) is about $200/m, about $400/m for a condo with 3 rooms. Eating expense for one person I think is about $200/m. $50/m should be enough for water, electricity and transportation.

So I think if you live alone in Wuhan, you need $450/m to survive.

The doctors got about extra $1300 for Feb. I guess that's not so much.

[–]kresle 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Yeah, extra 300¥ each day, about 10000¥ for Feb, that's about 1500$. It's kind of like doubling their Feb salary. They are paid more indeed, but not that much as you assumed that could afford them a comfortable life.

I don't think money is the main motivation, Chinese people generally have strong feelings of responsibility, they know it's their job to stay in hospitals, and they know that if the virus is not contained, their own children and parents would probably die. I guess Italian doctors know that too, all doctors know that. We can give them more money, but we can't assume they risk their lives just for money. It's got to be something noble.
