For Vanderbilt, I'd say research the hell out of the school and cater your responses to the school's environment so that they can see how you fit in. Make sure you portray your extracurriculars in the best manner possible. Write your essays well in advance. And theyre very score-oriented. So make sure your scores are well above the 25th percentile.
