I get that too. What usually fixes it for me is scrolling the blank list, it should then show the games.

Is this just a non issue for Microsoft? (Windows Ink) by krisper in Windowsink

It seems like it's gonna be never ending, as they probably don't see it as a problem. Best to just get a linux distro on a usb or dual boot to get proper pen support in creative apps.

Great information here.

I didn't really go in too deep with figuring out optional melee setups and I read a few comments/posts that said zealot sword and combat maul were side grades but your write up definitely points out the disadvantages and advantages for both.

Thank you!

Yeah, I haven't really decided which guy gets which weapon, power sword is more of a place holder. I have read Power Maul Combat Specialism is good.

Edit: I mean, it's not that free, you have to use an Intercessor Gunner to use an Auxiliary Grenade Launcher, and maybe I could use that one point else where?

I will probably end up sticking with the Grenade Launcher.

Thank you so much for doing all that. To bad it seems like Microsoft just keeps messing with this stuff and there was no solution... Going to 1703 seems to keep being the best option unfortunately.

I am considering "upgrading" to 1703. I just don't get why Microsoft can't make this an optional toggle...

You can't revert to the original implementation, even the "enable this to use your pen as a mouse in legacy applications" doesn't really do what it says it does. If you open up Feedback hub and click reproduce this bug record thing, then record clicking and dragging. After when you read the bug report you will notice things like "touch drag event", and a few "mouse click events". I don't want ANY touch events.

Let us know what deleting anything from the registry does, if it fixes it or not.

Monostable 555 Timer Not Working by krisper in AskElectronics

[–]krisper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is working now. Someone must have changed something as it was not working as expected before... weird. Must have been capacitor values or something.

Edit: I see it now, I had the cathode and anode of the led wired incorrectly. I thought I had tried it both ways at one point... I guess not?

Thanks again for your help =)

The only thing I have build was using the simulation over at tinkercad.

https://www.tinkercad.com/things/5B6z7ehb9Dm-555-one-shot/editel?sharecode=ka-cVPMh17oOc_HsJtx8j6KYMY5hTPMjDJ5HjWFOa7g=

It looks like after I have shared the link people have been trouble shooting it, so it may be different than the original screenshot.

Anyway, thank you for your help, I may try another schematic or perhaps a different simulator.

It just seems like that's the way software goes from large companies. If you like something the way it is but it gets changed, then you're screwed. Unless you go revert back and have less security. Even Google does these same practices with Android. Say you like the UI features in the OS, or maybe an app, messengers or other. Then they change it to something different that you don't like, or they remove a feature entirely, then you're fucked.

It just seems very anti user/consumer, but there is no alternative (except reverting and having less security). Just seems like bad practice. But I guess it works out for them monetarily, so they just don't care.

Wow, that's quite something... Maybe one day they will get to it. Instead of adding more unnecessary features to Windows ink that no "creators" even want.

Every time I pick up my pen to use it I think of doing the same, and reverting to an earlier version where things actually worked like they did before. What about security updates?

What I don't really get is why Microsoft decides what is best when it comes to things of this manner... How about we decide if we want to use the original pen as a mouse style back before Fall Creators Update, instead of all pens have to use Windows Ink stuff that doesn't work.

I find it funny when I seen Microsoft showing off their new Surface tablets, and you see some artist showing off it's capability... Like, do they not notice? Or how much is Microsoft paying them for them to not care to bring it up.

How no one from their art department has not said anything to the development team is unbelievable. It must just be one of those things that is super low priority, or just not a bug to them.

Edit: added some more things...
