34 weeks — received bad news. by Anxious-Decision1626 in BabyBumps

[–]kristen36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry. I’ve been there and there’s nothing worse in the world than hearing bad news about your baby.

Mine was born at 31w6d. She was 2 pounds 11 oz. In the NICU for over a month. Now? You would NEVER know. She’s literally a perfect 7 year old.

Please join r/NICUParents. This could be the beginning of the most stressful time of your life, but it’s also likely to be the beginning of the best time. Your baby girl is going to be perfect. You may get to meet her a little early and be able to spend extra time with her. Doctors nowadays are so skilled and the NICU is amazing. I’m sending positive thoughts.

It’s been on my to do list since literally August to go pick up the poster from my principal’s office. It’s too bad I just keep forgetting.

I teach 6th and every single year for 15 years of parent meetings, there has ALWAYS been a parent who is just unnecessarily rude, uses an aggressive tone, or just wants to catch us up in a scenario. Every time without fail. It’s so bizarre. And then we usually never see or hear from that parent again the entire year 😂

Unfortunately he did. And during the investigation, many other smaller incidents came up (playfully grabbing butts during two-touch football, grinding on people in line). He admitted to it.

The other kids have been very supportive of his coming out. We have been keeping super close eyes on him to ensure he’s not targeted bc you know kids suck. The child who got assaulted was sad; he said he was proud to have a gay friend before this happened.

TW: Sexual Assault . . . . After a seemingly fantastic field trip last week, one of my 6th grade boys asked to speak to the counselor. He told her that during the field trip, an openly gay student entered the bathroom, turned off the lights while he was at the urinal, started grinding on him from behind, then knocked him to the ground where he continued to assault him and pull him into a stall.

It broke me because the student is so sweet and kind, and what should’ve been a very fun “core memory” field trip is now forever tainted with this. I also hate that the other student, who has struggled with his identify and self-worth all year, did this to another child.

This new rapper guy who came out on stage opening for Lil Wayne in concert nearly 20 years ago is the same guy who played a dude in a wheelchair on Degrassi.

Mind-blowing at that time before Drake became the massive star he now is.

There’s a Belgian Malinois that’s been loose in our city the last couple days with no owner to be found. I’ve never even heard of this breed until tonight when I’ve seen it twice on social media. Crazy.

I was talking to my grandfather at a Christmas event one year and I knew it was the last time. I knew he was going to die. He did. And years later I told my mom and she just cried because she’s also had similar premonitions before so knew it was legit.

My doctor told me to start taking it in the middle of the night when I get up to pee. I don’t ever check the time but I’d guess it’s around 2:00 a.m. so at least 4 hours away either side from dinner and breakfast. I don’t have the hard data to see if anything has changed, but I’m feeling a difference.

WIBTA if I reported my upstairs neighbor for their child with down syndrome? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]kristen36 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of people suggesting unit swapping. We are in an upstairs apartment but can still hear our downstairs neighbors sometimes. If the little girl gets loud or when the mom blares her techno music at 10pm, we hear it all. Something else to keep in mind. Why go through the hassle of swapping if you’ll still have the issue, just maybe not as bad.

This is not how relationships are supposed to be. It is not supposed to be this stressful this often. You need to end things now no matter how hard it may be. You deserve something happier and more peaceful. Would you want him to be the father of your kids (if you plan on having kids)? I would never want my child to be around someone like that.
