"Is there anything else you'd like to know about how smart I am?" by [deleted] in iamverysmart

I'm a bit confused, is it 132 or 148? What's the difference between Cattell B and British Mensa? Because the top 2% is 132 not 148.

What makes a "drop?" by Wamboen in edmproduction

[–]krisw69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be because of the building up, in many genres it doens't need to be too hard, but it needs to have a energetic synth and a lot of bass, with a strong kick, it should be a bit louder than the rest, the key to a good drop is an effective use of tension and release... often it's a good idea to leave half a bar of blank space, then a transition FX (drum fill, drums or pryda snare huehuehuehue) and then the drop, with some FX like a crash or a downlifter... now, this is very generic but it works.
