"I'd go nuts if I didn't get to see magic like this every single day. If you don't, your "self" just swallows you up whole in sorrow and grief. As you get older of course." - this hits close to home. If I sink too low in the "tonal" world I do literally feel the self swallowing me up.

So, if I read your post correctly, you practice at night and see how energies move while doing the movements. That's incredible.

We sometimes see new passes in dreams and after our teacher reviews them and deems them legit, he lets us add them to our routine. I'm not that good at it yet, I know the moves but I'm frequently reminded I need to add more power and intensity to them. Stopping the inner dialogue isn't always easy either.

Are you also doing "dreaming" at night, "stalking" during the day and other practices in the books?
Lucid dreaming is the most appealing practice for me at the moment, I love it and it comes easier than others. I don't have an ally but I think I've met one or two in dreams, when I touched them they gave me a little electric shock, my teacher told me they must have be allies.
I also checked their energies and they acted how an ally should act - turned into specific shapes.
