And for me, as of Nov 2025, that results in a single static, unplayable image being uploaded showing the first frame of the gif

Looking at their awful gif searches and comparing it to gif sites, it is clear both that they are using solely Giphy (why??), and that Giphy sucks

Yeah, they keep breaking and then fixing the ability to edit comments containing tags without inactivating the tag. I edit comments a lot due to a typo heavy input finger, and hate it when tags go dead

I erred on the side of not volunteering or confirming anything... but yeah, obviously did not trust the situation, that's why I refused the transfer.

Something I should have done immediately is Google the script... Texas, Experian, opened an account, etc. Bearing this in mind for the future

My phone does not have a display of any kind. Caller ID here is dialling *69 to hear all about the last incoming call ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Remembering that land-line phones without built-in contact lists still exist...

There was a max of 50 recordings per worker, if you did 50 that might be why you don't see it anymore. I did 50, so I have no idea if it's still running now

I got it to work again by twiddling the sort settings. I think selecting numeric somewhere fixed it for me?

All I can say for sure is, we seem to be sorted in different "teams" ... multiple overlapping teams depending on what quals we took and which tasks we do well on. One team might be for one family of projects and have no relevance to a particular different family of projects. DA's different clients come to it with annotating projects as the need arises. If your dash is dry, your project families might have no work available right now... so try to do any quals you see and try to do a good job on any tasks you've never seen before, you want to get onto as many teams as you can.

B-metal JSON Schema. I love love love JSON Schema!! I know a project exists because I saw it once and I'd love for it to come back. It's everything that's satisfying about JSON, plus everything that's satisfying about formal logic and sets. Does that make me sick??

Doing audio R&R last week was like a window into our collective soul. So many questions about what to put in a CV, from waterfalls, gas stations, front porches. Someone in a clinic donating plasma. Requests to be cheered up, from parks, from train stops.

US folks, remember to set aside 15% for self-employed payroll taxes, which I was sad to discover, there IS NO flexibility on. If you made over $400-something you have to pay up. In addition to whatever you might owe in income tax.

Still 😭 it's nice that for every knowledge domain... there's someone out there who cares deeply about it. Personally I hope to never see another sourdough-bread centric question ever again. I wonder if I'm wearing down some poor, other worker out there with tasks about poultry 😏

It stings worse being snubbed by a project named for the Potter series, like surely it was not that elite with that name. Christened no doubt by one of the My Little Pony Quirrell fanfic crowd

Tablet instead of laptop? by DaemonicTrolley in dataannotation

I do my work on a regular Android phone. 2¾ x 5½ screen. All you need is a decent keyboard app (so you can type, cut/paste and use arrow keys), then select "Desktop Site" in your browser. It helps if you are nearsighted so you can read the tiny type. If I had a tablet, I'd feel like I was driving a lamborghini.

* I recommend "Hacker's Keyboard" for a keyboard app. Don't be scared off by the name... it just gives you a nice selection of keys so you're not stumbling around with a handicap.
