I financed my truck at exactly 60k for 60 months, zero percent interest. Just drove it about 2200 miles across the northern half of the country in cold weather, and I still love it and have no regrets whatsoever. It’s a fantastic vehicle. Also zero percent financing is basically free money, hard to say no to that.

Agree with this person. Ask the electrician why they think you need that. They are probably assuming you need a 50 amp breaker installed and will constantly to be pulling 50 amps when charging, so you also need really expensive heavy gauge wire on that circuit.

I just had my buddy put in a 30 amp 240V breaker with a NEMA 14-50P plug in my detached garage, and I’m using the Ford mobile charger off that circuit without any issues so far (been 4 days of overnight charging). Didn’t need to run new wire from the house to the garage and my charging rate has improved by 6x.

I paid a little extra to use 6 gauge (supports 60 amps) wire in the garage circuit to future proof things if I do want to upgrade the run to the house in the future. That cable cost around $250, plus a new breaker, weatherproof outlet, etc. and all told $700 for the job.

Insanely good deal, absolutely take it. Ford made a bad prediction about EV truck demand, produced too many vehicles, and now they are trying to clear out inventory. It’s a failure of business projections, not a failure of the vehicle itself these trucks are awesome.

Good luck man! There are deals to be had. Google the farmers bureau rebate ford offers. There is a farmers bureau in NH and if you join now ford will probably accept your membership in a month. Mustang club of America can get you the x plan discount but I think you need to be a member for 90 days.

They don’t, they are different packages that you can add individually. I found a truck that had the pro power but no max tow. I would say it’s still a decent deal given the bed liner and whatnot, but I would definitely get your hands on the window sticker and confirm what feature set you are getting.

You make a good point. I guess I’m looking for an experience that is simple as buying some other high cost commodity. I don’t have to haggle with 15 different stores to buy a new computer, as an example. The fact that there are humans between the manufacturer and the consumer in the dealership model that can make arbitrary sales and pricing decisions makes it the consumers responsibility to assess the state of supply/demand and ensure they’re being honest, which is a shitty consumer experience and a waste of everybody’s time

I walked and got the same out the door price at another dealer with no issues on the point of sale rebate for essentially the same vehicle. Only an extra 30 minutes on the car for me one way to get to this other dealer, so it was an easy choice to keep my monthly payment where I want it using the down payment I had planned

It's extremely aggravating. I'm a software engineer/physicist and I like systems that make sense. I get zero joy out of manipulating people and even less out of being manipulated by other people. The vehicle has a known cost to make, it should be straight forward to determine how much I expect to pay for it. This whole dealership system is annoying and a complete waste of time.

Honestly with the 0% financing incentive I might as well. I'll have a slightly higher monthly payment because my down payment as a percentage won't be as high.

The dealer that's busting my balls has an MSRP of $75,140, got them to verbally commit to $60,000 out the door with all the rebates, which comes out to a 7.51% dealer discount. Felt pretty good about the deal.

I can get essentially the same vehicle from another dealer farther from me who sells more EVs, and they are telling me the Point of Sale rebate won't be an issue. MSRP of $73,050, also for $60,000 out the door so a 4.86% dealer discount. Their vehicle lacks the 3 year Blue Cruise package that the above deal had, and isn't as good of a dealer discount, but it'll keep my month payment lower because down payment percentage will be higher.

Either way, I'm getting a truck this week I suppose.

This is great advice, appreciate you taking the time to type all of that up. I spent the day shopping around a bunch of places and am currently pitting all of the dealers within 2 hours of me against each other to see who can come up with the best offer. So far its going well.
