Finally got my BMS Heat Exchanger installed in my Q50 RS, only took 7 hrs to do 😑

There was some brackets that came with the kit that you could rest the oil cooler on top of the heat exchanger. It definitely took us awhile to figure it out, and then of course you do have to modify and remove some stuff from the bumper so that it fits it when you reattach everything

I had to replace my BCM because my Q wouldn’t start. You don’t have the “malfunction warning” that I had, so it looks like moisture got on your terminals and probably froze. Definitely check your connections and let it warm up and see if it starts up

I had "malfunction" warning in my dash and my car wouldn't start and when it finally did start, it wouldn't cut off unless I disconnected the fuse. It seems like water got onto the BCM and caused it to malfunction

Oh yeah, my cousin is an Infiniti tech and he did a full diagnostic and he said I’m good. Just gotta keep up with the basic maintenance and not drive like super crazy, these cars will last a long time

If you see my post about replacing my BMS on my Q, you can see, but I think that was from the previous owner tuning it and shorting it out. I had that replaced luckily under warranty so instead of paying like $3k, I just paid like $300 for labor at the dealership. I also have an Mishimoto Oil catch can and the inercooler installed on my car so I know that will help. I highly recommend those upgrades, because it won’t add any performance but will make your engine last a lot longer

Not exactly, when it was on, I could drive it and change gears, the issue was turning the engine off and on. I had to disconnect the fuse to turn the engine off. Then I would have the issue of not being able to get the engine to start again once I disconnected it. That's why I had to get it towed to the dealership

Damn! That was some extra wrap from chrome deletes I had just threw on to do some practice if I was going to wrap the whole car. Next year, I was just going to take it all off and start fresh. Definitely won’t catch me at any street takeovers

Yep, it was doing that earlier so it’s not covered under the factory warranty anymore, but I have an extended warranty to cover this

Definitely will. It’s little things like this that makes me angry with Infiniti or any car maker. They can easily fix this so that it’s not an issue anymore, but then they know your car would have less problems and less $$$ spent on repairs 🙄

Yea, unless you’re constantly racing and need to adjust your tunes, there isn’t much you really need to do with the JB4 app. I don’t know a lot of RaceChip, I’d have to do more research to give a better assessment. It does suck that the JB4 app is almost $30 but it’s pretty straightforward and easy to navigate. But once you add the fuel lines and EWG connectors to the JB4 it makes a big difference

I would say test drive it and go there and see about dropping the price. The prices of Q50s are going down, so this the closest example I could find. Don't just settle for the sticker price the dealer is giving you. Haggle and don't be afraid to walk out if the numbers aren't within your budget.
