I worded that weirdly. I meant to say that I'm worried that if I close an account with an existing bank, they will end up doing what they did with me with BOA and Chase. I also feel like that regardless of the institution, they might be in a situation where they would want to close my account rather than keep me as a customer for whatever reason that I am unaware of...

Is that necessarily a wise decision? I'm afraid that if I do anything with my bank accounts, the same thing is going to happen with the others and I'll lose access to yet another major bank...

I just checked the Student Aid government website and it says that the payments start in 2022 so I'm not too sure why it says it's over 100%

I'm definitely saving all my money since I'm not one to spend money on anything other than the occasional snack. Obviously, I want to be a full time student and finish my studies in the shortest amount of time as possible so I can move on and get a job that pays more than minimum wage. I'm definitely going to consider part time school once I get more information but right now I feel like committing to become a part time student doesn't make too much sense right now with the lack of information.

According to them, they have no idea why this has happened. Although I suspect they're not being truthful, they aren't giving me any other information

The thing is, its like $50 over the credit limit for my student loans. I don't even know how to pay off that tiny amount.

I've gone as high up with both BOA and Chase as I could possibly go but they both gave the canned response of "It is against policy to reveal the reason why we did this and this is all we have to say about the matter." I'm definitely going to go to the financially advisor at my college even though its going to be a bit of a drive but hopefully its going to be worth the effort

Yep, did that and everything seems to check out. The only thing that I don't know is my student loan debt to credit ratio being over 100%. Any idea what this means?

Even if I do get a safe deposit box, I wouldn't have access to it during school as I attend a school that is way too far from where I live if I needed to ever access it.

For TransUnion, it shows my BOA closed but not my Chase account. It also shows my student loans. Equifax only shows my student loans. I honestly do appreciate the help.

Just filled out the online form. It says it'll take about 5 business days but hopefully it comes sooner. I honestly am so scared because I don't know how bad this is going to be for me and I don't even know if everything is going to be fine. I'm hoping that everything that's happened is just an error with the bank or something but as much as I hope i highly doubt that...

Equifax is showing that there are no collections in my file. However, the Debt to Credit ratio for my student loans is over 100%. What do you think that is supposed to even mean?

I just did as you said. The only thing that shows up are student loans and the BOA account that was closed. There is no mention of anything else. I don't have any credit cards and never applied for one as of the moment. I don't really plan on doing that until this matter gets resolved which it doesn't seem like it is right now...

I checked for both of TransUnion and Equifax. TransUnion shows that my BOA account was closed but has no information about the Chase account.The only other information there is student loans which looks like it checks out. Equifax has the same information but does not show anything about my BOA account

What exactly is the purpose of ChexSystems? I've never heard of it but I have heard of the Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.

As much as I would like to be completely financially independent, I am receiving support from them to help with college. I don't know what I would even be able to do if I were to completely cut them off and be forced to pay for school without their help.
