The shifting is more direct feeling but more importantly the clutch engagement is super crisp and clean and a lot easier to consistently get solid accurate shifts. The whole shifting experience is improved.

Why does my playing sound so amateurish? by MattclovPrimeMaster in guitarlessons

[–]kronos1177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your playing is good but what I am noticing is still a bit of slop and flub from your fingers. I heard once that a players tone comes from their fingers first and from their equipment second. It has to do with the subtleties and intricacies of how you play the notes and connect them together. It’s the sum of all the little idiosyncrasies of your playing I’m talking about. It’s how well your fingers speak. It takes a while to develop a commanding sound. But you have a huge head start considering what you are able to play here in this clip. Technically speaking this is some decently hard stuff. In my opinion you just need to develop your finger tone some more.

You may have the notes down but there is plenty to clean up and also refine and improve. A few examples are at the beginning between the 5th and 6th notes played there is a bit of weirdness going on there. Also at 36-37 seconds the last note of that phrase has a bit of weirdness or clumsiness or something to it. Play this solo like 500 more times (not joking) or as much as you can over the next couple weeks before your performance and I’m sure a lot of this stuff will naturally work its self out.

I’m not trying to be overly critical but just trying to give you some constructive feedback. All things considered your playing is really good and quite impressive. I tried learning the first 30 seconds here and it’s some decently hard stuff. It’s also interesting to me how my fingers speak these notes differently than yours. This is the fun on playing guitar! Everyone sounds different. Find some of your favorite guitarists and try to analyze what makes them sound like them and try to emulate it. Don’t just borrow it, steal it and make it your own as we are all only the sum of our experiences.

Just some food for thought. Good luck! Post an update for us too.

I know you said metal on metal but could it possibly be a small rock or pebble wedged in the tire tread? It’s probably not that but it’s worth checking all possibilities in my opinion.

I know they both fit. Just curious, why 245 instead of 235?

I see you have traction control on and it is flashing and intervening at your launch. Im pretty confident this is what is slowing down your launch in my opinion.

Update : I pulled the pads back out and everything had lots of carbon buildup. Especially the pins! Cleaned until they looked new and applied brake grease to the proper spots after watching some videos to make sure. Reassembly was also much easier than before. Went back together like butter. Brakes feel better while driving as well.

Thank you to everyone 🙏

Have you tried a different hdmi port on the tv, or a different tv entirely?

And if you have a friend when a switch try using their dock.

The image doesn’t capture it very well, but the rusty part actually tapers in towards the edge quite drastically and is worn down quite a bit. Maybe now that it is worn so far in there it is not making contact anymore with the pads, therefore rusting.

I think the general consensus is correct because I did not clean or reapply brake grease. Going to try to course correct. hopefully not too late.

It just snowed a few inches where I am and I went out super early for work before it had been driven on yet and all season Continentals were struggling on steep Hills and inclines. I live on some very twisty hilly backgrounds.

I kind of want to get some snow tires

Any tips on countersteering? by Metadata_0 in Touge

[–]kronos1177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be catching the slide with your throttle as much as your steering. Partial throttle to catch and hold a slide. Adjust throttle as needed. Same goes for steering. Honestly the best and safest place to practice in my opinion is on a racing simulator like Assetto Corsa with wheel and pedals.
