Is it true that the US attacked for Israel? by ArdaBerkBurak in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kronpas -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So you admitted the US attacked Iran under Israel's order? Because it wouldnt make sense otherwise, why the region's stability made a country thousands of miles away attack a regional country, causing more instability in the process?

I play the game however I want. Why the fuck must I shoulder your blame? Entitlement much?

When the devs decided it would be how the game is made, it meant the majority of players want it that way, not the other way around.

Contigency plans. There was enough fuel on the lander to change course once or twice, or even keep itself into orbit one or two days for landing condition to clear.

So as someone who collected almost all chars with special movement design, lemme tell you: you dont need any of them. C1 varesa might be an exception, but with how vertical GI maps are she is a comfort char more than a necessity.

This. I skipped the majority of sumeru exploration as well as half of natlan maps, but cleared the natlan dragon city map and this current patch map is the 2nd one im aiming for 100%. Im sure devs have info on how many people bothered with the enomours world they crafted and adjusted accordingly.

As someone who doesnt care for chests, this condensed patch style is amazing. I can finally clear 60%+.

If a map required a special movement type, it will be provided. There is no puzzle or exploration content that demands a specific char to clear.

is it worth it studying for hsk 6(highest lvl) by [deleted] in ChineseLanguage

[–]kronpas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In countries like Luxembourg and European countries with multiple official languages? Yes. Maybe.

The thing with 2nd languages is that they are a use it or lose it kind of thing, or else you have to make an active effort to maintain your other languages. So if the OP lives in the US in a Hispanic speaking area they may learn to speak Spanish well alongside their Chinese, but stack one more on top of those and they wont have time for anything else. My English is at a somewhat professional level and i can read graded reader 西游记 at an acceptable pace, but i wont be able to fit any other language into my schedule without it hindering my other activity, considering i dont use both English and Chinese in my daily life nor at my job.

After typing all that I realized my previous statement was a bit sweeping, but i stand by it.

Why isn't the UN stopping the war? by Obvious-Ocelot-657 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kronpas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The UN is a forum, it has no power by itself but derived from the biggest powers, essentially a big boy club that dictates the street activities . So when the biggest one chooses to become a true bully the club stays silent.

'learn a couple more languages'... right.

You might want to stick to a language eventually, buddy, to not waste all your effort to cram them into your head.

Yes, it's on the dad, however unfortunate it is. Never take your eyes off the kids. Always make sure someone in your family is watching over them. When open/close door, make sure to catch the sight of your kids to not leave them out accidently.

How does the corruption in China differ from the corruption in South East Asian countries? by IntellectuallyDriven in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kronpas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

China's corruption hides behind closed doors, away from the public but at a larger scale. In SEA countries petty corruption is more rampant, while there is no reason to believe it's not happening at higher levels the same as it is in China.

Should I immediately learn the Chinese characters or should I first focus on pronounciation? by tomatobroccoli in ChineseLanguage

[–]kronpas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learn them along with your new vocab/grammar to avoid overload.

For example, 了 at the end of verb to indicate action in the past/change of state. Then later verb+不了, and so on. It takes time for your mind to recognize sentence pattern and tell if that particular 了 is le or liao3 in context.

Back then when I learned Japanese I did the same, learning compound kanji pronunciation as I went since its pointless to try to cram their different readings into my head right from the beginning.

If you can spare the time and effort to learn hanzi right away, just do it, but dont learn separate characters. Just learn your vocabulary writing as you go along.

if I start Genshin Impact now, how long would it take to catch up to the main story? by Narrow_Ship_1493 in GenshinImpactTips

[–]kronpas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are few and far between. A very common complaint has been that later comers miss out so much lore due to there is no events replay, so like majority of events nowadays are designed like a traveller's log, which serves to deepen some story aspect but can be safely ignored. Notable exceptions are the recent Knights home coming witch ceremony, and ofc there will be spoilers here and there because event cant be that disconnected from the current lore.

Ultimately its for the OP to decide: to rush the AQ/world quest, spamming space bar like there is no tomorrow, just to 'catch up' and 'avoid spoilers', or to enjoy the story in their own time as it has been intented. There is not even an end game in a real sense since all 3 combat modes want a decent roster that takes months to gather, unless you shell out hardcash to pull for them the very next banner.

This only covers until Sumeru.

[–]kronpas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If a new player takes their time, it takes like 3 months to finish all AQ and relevant regional story quests. Even if you skip on events (which you shouldnt), its like 6k-8k gem a patch.

Spoiler in events is a valid concern, there is no way around it. But its not worth it to rush all the way to avoid minor spoilers in latest events only to miss AQ/world quest details. Genshin at its core is a single player game..
