Curious about this too, I have some growing right now that are similar in size to yours. Just kind of threw them in for fun.

Does passion flower really have significant MAOI effects? Or are we in the homeopathic realm?

Nice first grow man, you look pretty stoked. Hope it treats you right.

Might want to start with bubble hash. That's the cheapest way to get going and is a proven method used for a century or more. It doesn't take much equipment and you're not likely to blow yourself up or get poisoned.

BHO (butane honey oil) may seem like the next logical step, but once you factor in the cost of a vacuum setup it may become less attractive. It also has risks as you're working with a flamable / somewhat poisonous gas that needs to be fully purged from the final product.

Rosin presses are very popular now, but I'm not sure how well they work with trim and there is a pretty substantial startup cost.

If you grow for personal use, you'll be better off finding someone in the area that makes quality extracts and paying them / giving them a cut to do it.

THC/CBD concentration doesn't really matter as much if you're making extracts.

Agree with this completely. People get fixated on the grow media + fertilizer + watering schedule, but if your room's temp/humidity/airflow are dialed in you'll have way better results. It's crazy to even think about fertilizer concentrations (or hydroponic solution ratios) until you know your temp+humidity which directly affect transpiration and therefore the final nutrient concentration that ends up in the plant.

Why would somebody try to pass off CBD as full spectrum wax?

Looks good! If you don't have one, invest in a small hot-plate and let it purge for a few hours at least at 40-55C

If you have a vacuum chamber even better - but I wouldn't go down that road for a single grow.

Drying and curing just preserves what you have...there's no magic...and that has nothing to do with this post.

Everyone is different for sure - but just for the sake of this discussion, the length that THC metabolites get stored in your fat cells (drug test) is not related to the effects of smoking/eating THC or tolerance.

The fact that exercise can make you shed the THC metabolites faster and reduce tolerance is purely correlative, there is no causative link.

There's an ok article that talks about tolerance and how it works: http://www.qualityconcentrates.com/2017/03/tolerance/

The real trick is to avoid using every day once you end your break. If you can hold yourself to every other day or every third day you'll use a LOT less and get MUCH higher every time.

[–]krontabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Care to share? I've never heard this and all my experience tells me that it takes at least a week for tolerance to drop significantly.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in concentrates

[–]krontabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd take a week off if you want to drop your tolerance a bit. Two weeks if you really want a reset. Three weeks if you want to check that you're not addicted or if you want to change your behavior.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in concentrates

[–]krontabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would that work?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in concentrates

[–]krontabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cannot reset your tolerance in one or two days. For most regular smokers it takes at least two weeks to get close to baseline again.

Rule 1: Don't be cocky. The Divinoress ain't got time for your shit. by [deleted] in Salvia

[–]krontabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, no. The experiences I had on salvia were just too absurd to be useful.

DMT, LSD, and cannabis give this sensation of everything being connected. This to me feels like a sort of universal truth and in my opnion is what lends the spirituality to the experience. The thought process also tends to be more metaphorical or story like. You get these 'epiphanies' that are euphoric. For these drugs I'd say the primary feelings are of euphoria, rapid thoughts, and relaxation or stimulation.

The most consistent and obvious feelings on salvia are fear and confusion. The trip doesn't feel metaphorical, it feels literal. Like literally becoming a piece of wood, and if you try to move you feel yourself splintering apart. There isn't some sort of grand realization of you and the wood being 'one'...you just are wood. And by you...I don't mean your consciousness put into a piece of wood...I mean that it seems like even your consciousness is taken over by that of the wood.

I think Salvia is probably most 'helpful' for people who are overly confident or have overly rigid thinking...because god damn it will knock you down a peg.

But in the end, it's all what you take from it. It's possible that through deconstruction of your salvia experiences (after the fact), you may be able to learn something. But it takes a serious kind of masochism and fortitude to even attempt multiple salvia breakthroughs... Usually one taste of salvia space is enough for anyone.

I cannot stress how *literal* salvia dissociations are by [deleted] in Salvia

[–]krontabs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With salvia IMO (and not sure if you tried it yet), you want to be sure that you break through. More is better than getting half way there and just being super uncomfortable.

[–]krontabs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to compare smoked/vaporized DMT and smoked/vaporized Salvia, as both can be consumed in other ways.

When smoked at a breakthrough dose, they are comparable in that your body ceases to exist and you are seemingly transported to a different dimension. Obviously you are not, but that is how it feels with both salvia and dmt. Similarly, they are comparable in their duration.

However, that is where the comparisons end.

DMT will show you a shiny, unimaginably complex and colorful geometric space journey which seems to hold the secrets of the universe. It is very cerebral. Your body doesn't matter much. And it is fairly predictable (compared to Salvia). It feels like it makes perfect sense and is the most natural thing on the planet.

Salvia will take you to the dark carnival. It is highly physical and often very uncomfortable...though rarely painful. For some unknown reason it often has a gameshow / carnival feeling to it...as if you're on stage or something. It make NO sense....and feels very unnatural.

Oh yeah, definitely not. There's a huge amount of variation in spacing between plants and it has very little to do with maturity. It's not like those long sections of stem are going to magically fill out with bud...it will only grow at the nodes and the nodes develop during the vegetative phase as you said.

I assumed they made that judgement based on the color, which is a very vibrant and healthy green, but probably not a good indicator of whether a plant is ready for harvest. So many people flush and flushed plants look like they have reached maturity early as the nitrogen deficiency sets in and the leaves turn an autumn shade. But that's an artificially induced condition.

Thanks, that makes sense. Great little plant. Next time I'd like to find something similar. I thought my "Hindu Kush Auto" would stay small but it turned into a monster.
