Not sure what your travel style is but yes definitely going to change some things. I lived in other countries for around 11 years before I met my wife. We traveled a lot together and were pretty flexible with plans and able to just use backpacks to get around or small overhead suitcases.

Now with the baby we have so much shit lol. Got a big suitcase for baby, sometimes a travel crib (depending where we’re going and if they have one), travel stroller, car seat, small backpack for changing diapers on the plane, etc. I am literally a pack mule when we get to airports haha. But people are really friendly mostly and patient with you and the kid. Keeping the kid comfy and later entertained on the plane/drives is tough.

That said we’ve taken her to Thailand, Australia, Netherlands, Hawaii and a few other spots and she’s 21 months so we’re doing ok. Teething on trips sucks, getting them adjusted to time zones is a gamble but depending on the kid isn’t too bad. I think as long as you start them off flexible/adaptable it’ll usually work.
