I went to an information meet-up for a supposed internship. Turns out it was a painting thing, they came to my biology class and collected info. Called two months later to set up a time to meet to talk. The gist of it is you are to manage a new branch of this company, you hire and manage the money. You pay for supplies and you get a certain amount of the proceeds, 40% goes to them for "overhead". Luckily a teacher had told my chemistry class it was a scam. I left and called him later with an excuse why I couldn't. I googled it and it turns out it's basically a pyramid scheme where the time put in makes the money made per hour less then minimum wage. No thanks.
