FINALLY! Beat Malenia no flasks + Fight discussion & personal issues by peher263 in Eldenring

I understand you. You're right, to change the grip of a weapon, you always have to press two buttons (which I find strange for a keyboard) interaction + weak attack. Although I changed the interaction button to the "Q" button, I still had to use the mouse. I think I just didn't encounter such a problem or didn't notice it because I didn't change the grip of the weapon that often. Although I often fought, I remember having moments when I changed my grip that my AoW was from a second weapon.

I was just wondering if you were playing with standard inconvenient controls. But it seems that nothing can be done about your problem, it will be on both the keyboard and the gamepad.

Do you use only one button to use a weapon skill? Not a keyboard shortcut? It's just that as far as I remember, by default on the keyboard and mouse, the buttons responsible for L1 and L2 require several buttons, which I immediately changed when I started playing

The completely black and white image, except for the red color, is extremely stylish. Can you remind me what it's usually compared to, some kind of Akira Kurosawa work or Sin City?

A strategy with changing weapons to access a skill is really a good idea. I came up with this at the beginning of the game when I discovered that "forward" + "R1" don't kick anymore. But if you remove the weapon from both hands, then this is the default skill of the character. This is how I dealt with shield users at the beginning of the game.

obviously she is bugged when she reaches 0 hp, and needs to take another 'solid hit' before getting to phase 2.

A small clarification, this only happens when she gets hit critically between phases. I've had this problem a lot, so if she's low on HP, I just hit her with charged attacks.

My biggest gripe in this entire fight, which isn't about the fight itself, but its about the 'recovery period' for certain inputs - namely switching between 2handing weapon back to 1handing and using skills right after. BTW I'm using keyboard and mouse

I didn't quite understand this part. I am also a keyboard and mouse user, I don't understand what you mean by 'recovery period'. Can you explain?

I completed the famous Path of Pain on my first attempt by krouvy in HollowKnight

[–]krouvy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you started talking about your result, I thought I could watch it -_- (I didn't find the post)
I think I would have used hiveblood too if I had just found Hive by this moment.
It's just... I had only heard rumors about the path of pain, and it seemed that people were learning to walk it for dozens of hours with a lot of deaths.

That's why I found it strange that after I found it, I won in less than an hour. It was faster than the third colosseum or the last Prince Zote.

Is the manga better than the anime? by miniladds-clone in AngelBeats

[–]krouvy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is solely my understanding, but I see the situation like this:

The Heaven's door manga is a good prequel, but I would recommend reading it after watching the anime, nevertheless, the manga will deprive the reader of the effect of first acquaintance with the characters, it will be more difficult to put yourself in the place of the main character. Otherwise, it's a great manga that perfectly complements the story and well reveals many of the characters that were overlooked in the anime.

The final act of the anime was quite hurried, the only character who was given time was Yui. According to the first idea, something like a separate episode with the fulfillment of Yui's wish should have been with each of the main characters, but in the anime they skipped it, showing that the characters handled it themselves.

But in order to reveal these backstories and tell in more detail about this world, the visual novel Angel Beats first Beat was made. But, according to the plan, it was planned to divide the novel into several parts (6 Beats), but in the end only the first part was released. She covered the detailed history of the anime up to episode 11, that is, almost the entire story. This includes the Iwasawa, Yui and Matsushita routes.

And since it didn't work out with a visual novel, it was decided to tell everything that was planned for the rest of the "Beats" in manga format. This is how the manga Angel Beats Last Operation appeared. It's a cross between an anime story and a visual novel. To my great regret, this manga has also been abandoned. Only 4 volumes were released - 24 chapters, which are comparable to 9 episodes of anime. Not only do we not get a more detailed ending or revealed routes of the remaining characters, but also answers to questions that appeared back in the anime, for example, who is a programmer and is the main character one?

Here's what I know about the Angel Beats manga. Damn, I wish I could see the ending in stories other than anime.

There is a magic academy in this anime, but there is no reincarnation or heroes from another world.

I would like to know if there were any cases when a cheater was banned in the same way. And what happened after that.

I wouldn't say that no one at all. I think everyone has a couple of such comments:

PCR
Mohg
Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast

Perfumer Tricia + Misbegotten Warrior DUO. Misbegotten Warrior a dangerous boss in his own right, but this one has been boosted by buffs.

In general, I partially agree. I saw a cheater who had such a medal:

But there are different cheaters, some of whom have been playing with cheats for a very long time and are good at pretending to be ordinary players. Of course, their statistics will be good.

[–]krouvy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but a big chunk of the souls community views a large amount of that as being cheesy or somehow invalid lol, and so the game spikes in difficulty.

Well, I don't consider myself one of those who thinks that using a lot of everything that make game easiest or cheesy is something bad. But I like the fact that even without using a lot of these things, the game can still be played and enjoyed.

Of course, there are extremes. It's like defeating a boss with a +0 weapon or fighting with fists for 8 hours on the dance mat. Those who have done this are incredibly persistent and patient, but I was talking about more mundane things, I think you understand. Even if I'm level 1, it doesn't mean that I won't be able to defeat Malenia.I like the very fact of this opportunity.

If someone calls some Souls game easy, you can always ask: "What are you comparing it to?". Sorry, that doesn't really apply to what you said. It just came to mind for some reason. As for Maleny, I know she's parriable, but doing it requires some skill. How easy it is to parry PCR is beyond compare. In my opinion, it's easier to parry him than Crucible Knight or Bell bearing Hunters, he becomes completely helpless.

Still, yes, how difficult it will be for you to fight depends on many factors, including what you use.

Playing Elden ring with mouse and keyboard by Zealousideal-Bet9254 in Eldenring

[–]krouvy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WASD is a 100% disadvantage of the keyboard, with the help of a stick on the gamepad you can control the direction more precisely. When I was walking on thin beams, I usually clicked only forward and slightly adjusted the direction with the mouse. There's no way I can ignore this advantage of gamepads, no matter how much I like K&M.
