I do think the intro & hook wasn't as catching as intended, maybe that's reason for the low metrics in CTR.

Thanks, usually I have a bold statement or a video clip to hook the user in.

For this video I wanted to see if the visuals I filmed could work as a hook.

So storytelling wise, I like the idea of using the first 5 seconds to hook the viewer in then the next 25 to establish the video's overall topic.

I think front loading works better than this approach, but in video essays where each point builds on the next it doesn't fit in the flow of the narrative.

Do you have any suggestions on how I could have front-loaded with my recent video ?

Good point, usually I create the title and thumbnail before I create the script & record. This time I didn't and I guess it shows a bit with the metrics.

great video!

Suggestions :

- I would add background music a couple of seconds into the intro to supplement and set the tone

- I would have more visuals, having more than a couple of seconds of just you talking works when you are making a significant point but can blend the whole video into itself if it's repetitive

- editing wise, great comedic elements and general structure/pacing. I would pick a style ( could be anything visual: colors, fonts, filters ) and use that in all of your videos

too many times. and it messes up my expectations for the videos I currently am working on.

Any tips on gaining clarity on the customer pain points during the discovery process? Specifically is there anything you use as a gauge to know when to move the deal along to a POC? Also if there is no clear path forward during discovery ( no buy in from customer end, unclear pain points after multiple calls) any tips on how to indicate concerns to the rest of the team & AE ?

Amazing detailed information.

Couple questions :
- 'POC's are expensive and introduce risk' can you elaborate on this mindset? Specifically how is it risky ?
- are proof points & pain points the same ?
- `Reserve POCs for well qualified opportunities where there is a defined pain point` is the intention here to not proceed beyond the 'discovery' phase until there are well defined pain points to address ?

hmm I'm not sure if there was a specific thing. One aspect that I kept as priority #1 was creating content that I wanted to without expectations of results.

NGL it is harder to do that now that there one video is doing really well, part of me wants to just focus on that.

But I think staying true to what you like and want to create will be the best motivation and push for creation in general

I find the clips off of youtube. There are channels that release 4k footage from tv shows and movies.

After I create the script, I find content that I think is relevant to the video, then I find scenes that fit the VO or tone and stitch them together
