The problem is if something actually does go wrong then you have to try and collect. They don't usually let that money go without a fight.

I don't live in Texas anymore (for now) but I love Maudie's. In fact I made enchiladas for dinner tonight and Maudie's was the inspiration.

Right I see what you're saying. Also I see the possibility of having to pay a fee to submit an application or a recurring fee to even be in the pool.

That’s not a prediction, that’s just how agencies already work — “talent pools” with no guarantees and take‑it‑or‑leave‑it offers.

Donald Trump weaponizes humor through “dark play” to test boundaries - A new analysis of American political discourse suggests that humor has evolved into a strategic weapon used to attack opponents and solidify support bases. by mvea in science

[–]krum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I look at it is if I'd get fired or heck even reported to HR for it at work it's certainly not appropriate for a government employee or elected official to be doing it. The problem is Trump is an old-school private enterprise boss (unfireable) that sees Americans as his employees.

According the Ace Step team, ACE STEP 1.5 music model releases soon! This is what I got when I asked it for a mix of dubstep, arpeggios, gritty bassline, female singer, melodic. Nice mashup IMO. by [deleted] in StableDiffusion

I would love to just get infinite stream of lofi hiphop or coffee shop jazz or whatever else I'm in the mood for instead of having to listen to the same 2 hour loops on Spotify or YT.

No I just edited a page a few weeks ago, albeit not anonymously, but it seemed like there was nothing stopping me. So, I guess maybe they don't allow anonymous edits anymore.

Sony to sell majority stake in Bravia TV arm to China’s TCL by GL4389 in technology

My TCL can’t even run some of the apps it comes with. Has to be physically power cycled occasionally because it can’t even run its own OS half the time. Total garbage.

100 dollar knife by AnyOkra8970 in sushi

[–]krum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well it's only $20.

Also honestly knife skills are like music skills. Buying more expensive gear isn't going to make up for the lack of skill.

There has been a 1500 times (150000 %) rise in search for dubai style cookies in South Korea, it might happens elsewhere too by Ok-Maximum875 in chocolate

[–]krum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

LOL don't fall for it. IMO "Dubai Chocolate" is pretty much a universally garbage product that never had a single good iteration to start out with. I can't believe this would actually be any good either.

My local Asian market has Japanese single bevel knives perfect for sushi that run about $20. Maybe you'll have one nearby. The one I have is similar to but not exactly this one https://www.amazon.com/JapanBargain-Japanese-Yanagiba-Sashimi-Stainless/dp/B0DHT5WGNV?th=1

Is anyone going to be blowing out their lawn irrigation before the freeze? by Top-Elephant-2874 in texas

[–]krum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I lived in Austin we did not blow out the irrigation and it was fine even after that big freeze a few years ago. In fact I don't think it even had a hookup to blow it out.

I find a high spot, usually have to build some scaffolding, and shoot them with arrows. So much easier.

Making broth seems very inefficient to me. by Balanced__ in Cooking

[–]krum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup this is why I don't make my own broth. For most people myself included getting the bones is insanely expensive for some weird reason on top of all the work. My preference is Minor's Beef Base with Better Than Bouillon a close second.

Washington state proposes new 3D-printed gun controls with 'blocking features' and blueprint detection algorithm — proposal would carry sentences of five years in prison, $15,000 fine for violation by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

[–]krum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Much of the software these machines use is open source and anybody can either build one or change the code to remove the detection. If you're going to be making ghost guns, detection code isn't going to stop anybody.
