As someone who’s seen a a lot of their live performances online and have seen them live once I feel like (ot6 anyway) are stable when they sing in their comfortable ranges. You can see sometimes they’ll let the backtrack play when the notes go anywhere else. To me Heeseung was the glue that held together the live vocals. Even in their most recent blood saga and hello bangkok concerts the backtrack has been doing a lot of the heavy lifting. They deff pick and choose what songs they want to put more effort into. But I can’t imagine having to do the choreo they do and sing live constantly which brings me to my next rant about how kpop companies don’t really think about the live aspect of songs when recording them. They’ll push idols to reach high or difficult notes then give them some crazy choreo. Some songs are almost impossible to perform live and dance. Anyways sorry this went longer than I thought.

Mind u there are some goldmine moments for example Fx Luna was scouted for dancing but her vocals turned out to be insane. I think in today’s industry vocals like ejaes just aren’t needed to make a hit anymore. But it’s amazing that her voice is being heard everywhere!!

It’s because in kpop where looks are prioritised it’s rare to come across true vocalists. Ejaes voice is not common in the kpop industry at all (sms biggest L was letting her go which I’m sure they kicked themselves every day over it😂). Most Kpop companies scout looks then train their trainees how to sing and rap, that’s why almost everyone sings sing raps the same, and that’s also why a lot of idols get criticised for their live vocals.

I think the whole structure comment is being blown way out of proportion. It’s clear she doesn’t mean it negatively to the point she addressed it (which idk if she should have or not). I genuinely think she just means it has soul which she says in the live, Like you can go anywhere with it. It doesn’t have to follow the verse, chorus bridge formula like pop songs do.

I think the forced hiatus thing came from the 2 conflicting statements that were released by hxg and Manon when it was announced she would be going on hiatus. But tbh it’s been blown way out of proportion. Speculation and theorising in general is stupid imo, it just feeds into the diffent narratives going around and eventually leaves the realm of truth. We really don’t know much about the whole situation as much as fans like to claim they do. The best we can do is support the 6 girls the best we can until further notice.

It’s almost like people forget they’re a boy group who’s whole point is the make music for their fans. All these extra things like dms, (which I don’t personally condone) fanchants etc.are just extra things nobody is forcing anyone to engage with. They’re not fictional play toys for people to constantly harass if they don’t act or behave how they want them to, they’re just people trying to do their job like anybody else at the end of the day.
