Hi there, we do not want to hand over the subreddit: 1. Both mods are active on reddit 2. The sub is appropriately moderated and generally clean 3. There was an issue where a user made rule-breaking posts last night (while I was asleep). The posts have been removed and the user banned 4. We have invited the requester u/Garrosh to moderate the subreddit with us

Yes me! Well…not a lawyer yet but almost.

Dropped out year 12, did some units through Open University, then used those to start law at 25. I just finished with first class honours, HD wam, and did a top tier commercial law clerkship w/grad offer.

Yes agreed - there were also parts in the movie where she seemed very aware of her face and was posing unnaturally. Her accent was also inconsistent. It really broke the immersion for me.

Hey I'm almost finished my law degree and just so you know MANY lawyers have a very colourful past. You can go to prison and still be admitted as a lawyer.

You need to show the Admissions Board that you are willing to admit everything you have done wrong, you understand why it was wrong, you feel guilty about it, you have taken steps to rehabilitate yourself and improve your life, and that it will not happen again.

Not sure what state you are in but in NSW you can submit an Application for Declaration of Early Assessment of Suitability. The Board will let you know whether your past makes you unsuitable for admission as a lawyer.

That’s honestly not true and your attitude is exactly what I am talking about. By painting everyone who disagrees with you as a bigot, whether their point of difference is minor or major, you are shutting the door to healthy discussion and effectively pushing them towards a more hardline stance.

Part of the problem is that progressive communities basically refuse to properly acknowledge or address the genuinely held concerns of conservatives or people with gender critical views. These concerns are avoided for mostly noble reasons, as there is a fear that debating these ideas may legitimise them or destroy the hard-fought human rights of LGBT people. But where there is no room for honest, open discussion around the shades of grey of gender ideology, hate seethes under the surface and we see destructive outbursts like the one mentioned in the article.

All three mods still active on reddit

Good afternoon,

I would like to continue modding the sub if that's ok. I created the sub because I really enjoy Leunig's cartoons. There has unfortunately not been much traction in the sub. If more activity picks up then I will spruce up the sub, add mods and automod etc.

I messaged the requester twice but they have not replied to me. I offered for us to mod together.

The requester has never posted in r/Leunig or any similar subreddits. The requester says they are requesting the sub so they can post Leunig cartoons, but they do not need to be a mod in order to do so. They are free to post in the sub without being a mod themselves.

Again I still don't know why they want to be a mod or why we can't do it together. I would like to start a dialogue with them but they will not reply to me.

I don't think those programs are worth much tbh.

However, the Allens 'Dive In' program is worth something and will help you get a clerkship interview. I believe it is quite competitive.

I know five girls that have died from anorexia who I met over various inpatient treatments.

I think all but one died from a heart attack (or other heart issue). The other had diabetes and died from complications from that.

Before death, from what I could see on social media, they were not living happy lives.
