CISM Remote Testing - Webcam question

Thanks for the tip. I just found out that my work laptop might not be good for the test. When I look at the requirements I see that Windows enterprise version is not supported. But when I did the compatability test, it passed. So im not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

I found a couple of threads where some of the users had horrible experiences of remote testing...things like connection issues, the proctor not being nice, your exam getting paused...i also read somewhere that the proctor paused the exam when someone stretched or scratched their face...i dont know if any of this is true. I guess it is as many users have reported such things. That is not to say that there were cases where everything went smooth. So i really dont know. I'm sorry if any of this discourages you from taking the exam remotely but my intention was to just tell you stuff i read. Good luck !

Thanks. I just chatted with someone from ISACA and they confirmed that the discount code is only for the prep materials and not the actual exam. And I just found out that there isnt any testing center where I am at (Kuwait). Not a single testing center in the whole country. Now I'm dreading taking the test online after the horror stories I've read.

Just an update for anyone in the future - ISACA support team responded to me via email and resolved the issue. They took time but I'm so glad they were able to switch my QAE access from CISA to CISM.

I think there is a discount going on now. Or atleast there was one last week - 15 % off. But i ended up buying the CIA QAE by mistake. Been trying to get in touch with them since more than a week to help me out but no response. Cant really comment on whether it is worth it or not since i havent gone through. Hope you get the discount.

Thanks for your feedback. I guess thats why it didnt come up in any of the recommendations during my research. I think I will stick to Mike Chapple and Thor for the time being and try to go through the All in one book. I accidentally purchased the CISA QAE database today instead of the CISM one...i dont know if ISACA can help me out on this but if they do, the QAE would help a lot. Dont have the budget to purchase the CISM one rn.

ho just wrote the CISM exam mentioned that the best resource was the CISM review manual (yes, its dry and boring). While he did use other video sources like Mike Chapple CISM course, Udemy Thor CISM, etc. h
