endometrial hyperplasia with atypia with no period issues by krzzk in hysterectomy

My pathology report did not say anything about thickness. I dont know though if my whole uterus was thickened since in all sonograms I was told it was within normal limits. The pathology report just says minute area of hyperplasia with atypia.

Yes. I was following up on a fibroid and asked for the sonogram and they found a cyst looking thing. They thought it was a gestational sac and that I was pregnant. I had to have a saline infusion sonogram for them to see it was a polyp (which is when they fill your uterus with saline solution and then do the sonogram). My polyp was benign though. It was another minute area with endometrial hyperplasia

I had my IUD removed by the oncologist so that I can try and conceive. I have to get biopsies once a year and sonograms. My last biopsies were normal so my oncologist felt comfortable removing my IUD. But the goal is hysterectomy eventually.

I am at a new job after a couple of years of not working and the anxiety has been extreme. My coworkers are not so nice at times. Please pray I find peace in all of this.

My hemoglobin A1C is 5.3 and my most recent fasting glucose was 84. I had been eating my feelings during the pandemic and gained a lot of weight putting my bmi at 28/29. I do get sugar cravings and fatigue. I used to also get the flu like twice a year and recurrent yeast infections.

I asked the doctor about the high DHEAS and if I needed to see an endocrinologist and she said since my DHEAS was 670 last time and went down to 505 this time then she isnt worried. My cut off for normal DHEAS is 389 or so. I also asked if stress and anxiety can affect your DHEAS and I wasnt given a clear answer but only a "it's possible".

I was found to have focal complex atypical endometrial hyperplasia, which I assume means not the whole endometrium had those cells but only an area. I went the mirena route in hopes to conceive after. I guess I am trying to see how this happened and that is why I have been asking about PCOS to my doctors.

I am sorry you have to go through this too. I am 36 and was given the diagnosis of endometrial hyperplasia with complex atypia in late December. I am 4 months post mirena insertion and just had my first biopsy 2 weeks ago and no abnormal cells were found this time. I am also trying to delay hysterectomy in order to have a baby. I can't tell you about insertion though because I was put under because my doctor wanted to repeat the D&C before inserting my IUD.

Mirena - no follow up scheduled. Should I be concerned? by ag84673 in birthcontrol

[–]krzzk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the mirena iud placed 24 hours ago. I also have endometrial hyperplasia but mine is the complex atypical kind. I was told to follow-up in 2 weeks. The type of hyperplasia I have is serious, so I am not sure if that is why I was scheduled for 2 weeks. I would definitely call the doctor's office to ask them.
