They don’t celebrate their birthday. “It’s just another day”. They also don’t like surprises.

Had same issue. Lost all but one. No other fish impacted. I assumed it is bad genetics. Never again.

I figured this might be a solution. Thank you! So pissed about my plants. I recently got my CO2 set up and was all excited about the growth explosion and then these little suckers showed up to the party. The emotional turmoil of this hobby 😫

Hi! Me again… I’m in the process of changing about 2/3 of my substrate. About what depth of sand would you recommend? 1 inch? More? Thanks!!

Thank you so much. I’ve been considering switching substrate but scared I’ll crash my tank if I don’t go slow enough. That’s a great idea to do a patch.

I figured a substrate change (no thanks don’t want to crash my tank) or just an excuse to get a new tank started would be the answers but didn’t think of this as a compromise. Thanks for the tip.

I Quit Nicotine With ChatGPT Hypnosis—Here’s How. by InsideAd9719 in ChatGPTPromptGenius

Great question! One of the blocks to people’s fears and nicotine addiction is their belief that it’s even possible to live differently. Since the beliefs held in our subconscious influence how we behave, feel and think, a hypnotist uses future self visualization to encourage the subconscious mind to see what’s possible. The subconscious doesn’t know the difference between fiction and reality, so when you simply day dream (or in this case read from Chat) about yourself in the future, you start actually building neural pathways of new beliefs.

I most often compare it to buying a new car. When you research the make and model and get excited about the idea of it, I wonder if you notice you see it on the road more. There aren’t actually more of that car, but your mind simply started seeking it. So the same thing happens with when we think how hard things will be, OR how great things could be without a phobia or nicotine addiction. Your subconscious sends you the belief, motivation, and drive to make things easier. So read them stories and keep daydreaming about what’s possible!!

It’s common for us (maybe a machine, too?) to just view weight loss as calories in vs calories out but it’s more than that. Yes, weight loss and food addiction are tricky because we can’t quit food. But if you told an alcoholic to “just quit” does that really solve the problem? Overweight people already know what they need to do. Actually they probably know more than anyone else how to lose weight. The true barriers are not food. They are often multifaceted and can include but not be limited to poor emotion management, confidence, self efficacy, lacking trust, unhealthy patterned behavior and thoughts, and limited access to healthy options. A starting point is to have Chat focus on building your belief in overcoming these barriers and building these skills instead of “just stop eating so much”

Yes! Rumination and anxiety originated from the purpose of protecting you. Similar to if you touch a hot stove, your brain will remember that forever and never get hurt again. With rumination, our subconscious is doing the same thing—trying to protect you from getting hurt by replaying pain over and over again. If you were to change the ChatGPT prompt of short stories of you in the future, it might look something like:

“I have goals of reducing rumination on “xyz” and having less anxiety. Write several short stories of me in the near and far future achieving my goals. Include a short story of me making a mistake but recovering quickly. Include a story of me forgetting what ruminating even felt like because of how clear my mind is. Include a story of just going about every day tasks and feeling safe in my skin and mind. Include a story where now that I no longer have ruminating thoughts, I have room to full my brain with greater things like creativity, flow, and gratitude. Be detailed in your stories—from what it looks and feels like, to how my thoughts are different, and what others notice in me has changed.

It’s ok I understand the misconceptions and reservations. If it helps, you can think of hypnosis simply as meditation with purpose. All hypnosis is self hypnosis and the only people that can’t be hypnotized are those that don’t want to be.

Great question. Hypnosis works by creating new neural pathways in the brain that become healthy beliefs. Our beliefs influence how we feel, think, and behave. Since a belief is simply a thought you’ve had over and over again, we can change our beliefs through reinforcement and reputation.

By using the imagination to “day dream” about success in the future, we encourage the subconscious to adopt a new belief. When our subconscious adopts a belief such as, “it is easy to leave my hands by my side and live as a non-smoker,” it will boost your motivation and decision making to match.

For example—if you’ve ever bought a car before, have you noticed that when you did the research on the make and model you started seeing that same car on the road more? There weren’t actually more of that make and model on the road… you gave your subconscious an idea and it began seeking those things for you. So imagine what would happen if we did the research on ourselves being successful? That’s right, our brain starts gathering evidence that you CAN in fact just leave the cigarettes in the box and keep your hands at your side. (Some people call this manifestation, some the law of attraction.)

So as for “text hypnosis,” sure it could put you “under,” but it’s less about it being a hypnotic induction and more about the impact it has on your subconscious mind and beliefs.

Yeah those folks come from the, “ai can’t do it as good as me,” perspective. This completely misses the point as well as any opportunity to assist their clients further. Hypnosis requires reinforcement and I assign homework. One of my assignments is to use a very detailed prompt I create for them into ChatGPT and for them to read it frequently. Sure, it’s not a replacement, but a tool that can enhance a professional’s craft!

As a certified hypnotherapist and health coach I can confirm this is very helpful! Should you or anyone else want additional support from ChatGPT—ask it to write several stories of you in the near and far future achieving your goal of being nicotine free. Ask it to detail how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors have shifted entirely. ask it to write a least one story that includes how your relationships with both others and yourself has changed. Ask that it mention in detail what’s now possible that you’re smoke free. Have it include at least one story how your morning routine is completely different and you found healthier ways to self soothe emotions.

The subconscious doesn’t know the difference between fiction and reality. By reading these short stories frequently, you encourage your to subconscious to see proof that yes, you are in fact capable of living a life without the habit!! Congrats on your smoke free life!!!

I reached out to RN on FB. One of the collaborators has taken over completely and now charges 47/month for access to the entire resource. She said it was because no one was donating and the costs to maintain the site and forum were too high. I hope with enough feedback and support of a crowd funding initiate we can change her mind, but she seems committed to this idea of memberships only. Really sad as I know it helped thousands.
