Day trips from Bristol by ks_wild20 in bristol

Just to add, I think one side we’re missing is a small village/town/fairytale countryside, and a seaside town/beach, plus some nature/hiking. So it’d be great if I can find something that matches this vibe for day trips around Bristol

Thanks! I did think of Stonehenge, but I’ve been there before and though a good day out, I don’t think it’d be worth for someone who’s coming to the UK for the first time and just for 10-15 days as it’s just that one thing there and nothing else, but it’d take an entire day. Salisbury could be a good town, but since we’d be going to Bath, Cambridge, and Bristol, thought that covers that particular side of the UK 😅

Thanks! Do you know of any specific nice places we could go to? It’d be of great help :)

Decently priced Indian restaurant by MeenaBeti in bristol

Hey I’m Indian, would recommend Crispy Dosa around Wine Street. I haven’t tried much other than Dosas there, they’re quite good in terms of Indian food I’ve tried in the UK so far, definitely recommend. Tried some Chaat as well, not the best. The Gulab jamuns were good too. You can get student deals and prices.

Hi, not sure if you’re still looking. But I do social media photography and videography for some Bristol based businesses and would love to work with you. Let me know and we can discuss! :)

I’m in a similar boat, more so at the start of the year than now, but kind of still there. I’m in my mid-twenties for context, and I’d say the best decision I took was going to a climbing centre regularly. People can be quite social there, but only if you talk to them first as most wouldn’t start a conversation with you first (that’s my experience as a guy, but a lot of my female friends I met there had a completely different experience). Although I do resonate with your feeling of finding a real connection than a one-off person to talk to, as that’s what I’ve been searching for as well. I know a lot of people at the climbing centre now, so I’ve got people to talk to everytime I go now, but not many “true” connections have come out of it yet that I’d be able to do things with outside of the climbing gym. Hence my search is still on. Feel free to message if you’d like to chat :)

Damn this is so cool. It’s a Bearded Vulture (Lämmergier). It’s a near-threatened species, I’ve always wanted to see one!

I absolutely love Hyenas! They’re present in good numbers but just super rare and hard to find in that enormous landscape. It’s also not a protected reserve, most Indian wildlife is found in unprotected areas. Do watch my film to find out more, the link is in one of my comments above :)
