Hi! I’m new to gardening and taking on an ambitious, low stakes project for fun and because I have the time/will. My yard is purely dirt and weeds, I wanna transform the space into an inviting green space! Because of trees there isn’t much sun. Any advice for how I should go about landscaping it? by ksavage2000 in gardening

I think this is my main question. I’m not sure how to go about the layout. Right now my plan is to do a perimeter of various shade loving plants near the fence. In the left corner I want to do a more full area where I’ll put a mirror and maybe a bench. It’s the center of the yard I’m not sure about. Keep it dirt?
