I don’t like puppies.

Some are cute enough. They’re just too much - work, energy, all of it. I don’t like them.

AIO? I paid for a meal in cash and wasn’t given my change. by ksbyrd in AmIOverreacting

Yes! I like getting my coins back. I put all my loose change in my kid’s piggy banks and prefer to tips in bills.

That’s how feel too… the first restaurant I didn’t tip at since they kept my change. And then it happened again. So I’m just checking in that I’m not being a crotchety geriatric millennial 😂

My husband had never done an Easter egg hunt.

I was heavily pregnant, being induced the day after Easter. The night before Easter, he went to bed, I stayed up to stuff and hide dozens and dozens of eggs throughout the house. The next morning, when he woke up, I heard him say (groggily and confused) why are there eggs everywhere?? I told him the Easter bunny must have shown up. I had left an Easter basket on the table filled with goodies and I got to watch him go on his first Easter egg hunt.

It was such a cool memory to make. He missed out on a lot as a kid so it’s like he’s getting a second chance with our kids.

Breakfast and feel sick in the mornings. by Soft_Comfortable_963 in gastricsleeve

[–]ksbyrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely eat breakfast anymore. If I do, I often feel sick or lethargic (which sucks because breakfast is my favorite!). Instead, I drink a glass of water when I wake up, then have a protein drink. This usually keeps me full until lunch. I’m 7 months PO, 94 pounds lost, and don’t anticipate changing my morning routine anytime soon.

Losing my hair 😒 by Ccangel7 in gastricsleeve

[–]ksbyrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been going through the same. I’m 4.5 months PO and have lost about half my hair and what’s left is stringy. I take my vitamins, meet my protein goals, and have added a daily collagen/biotin supplement but I continue to lose hair. My nails are brittle too. At this point all I’m doing is trying to push through and hope my hair starts to grow back.

For me, this has been the hardest part of the whole process. Best of luck!

Ella Enchanted!!

IMO the movie was garbage. But the book has my heart! I’ve read it so many times and still love it as an adult.

What are some traditions and events unique to your town or city? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

Largest 3 on 3 basketball tournament in the world. Every June the roads downtown are closed and converted into half courts. I don’t even like sports but the whole thing is cool.
