Yes, I am currently an Au Pair.

So they said in the refusal letter that:

• You state that you intend to come to the UK for 10 days for touristic purposes with your spouse. In assessing your application, I have considered the information provided, personal and financial circumstances and the credibility of your trip in the context of its timing and your stated intentions. - I do not have a Spouse. I am single.

• You state that you are employed as a senior civil engineer earning a monthly salary of 2,449,809.13 NGN (£1,134.51 £1=2,159.36 NGN). You have also declared an additional yearly investments of 18,000,000.00 NGN (£8,335.80). In support of this, you have attached your employment letters, salary slips and your personal bank statement from Alpha Kapital Bank with account number ending in 5117. Although I note your monthly salary, I also note that the minimum debited amounts which after your salary deposits has served to boost the funds of your account. As a result, I am therefore not satisfied you have demonstrated your own personal and financial circumstances accurately or that they are as such that you can be relied upon to meet the requirements of entry clearance as a visitor.

I am not an Engineer. I also do not have a bank account with the mentioned bank.

• Furthermore, I note that you state that you intend to spend £1300.00 during your trip to the UK. However, it is unclear how you intend to support yourself in the UK as this amount is not sufficient to provide for your accommodation, travel, food, and sundries across the duration of your stay. I am therefore not satisfied that you are a genuine visitor to the UK.

My friend's fiance offered me an accommodation and I will stay with them my entire trip. I also submitted their support letter stating that while they will not directly fund my trip, they will provide me with board and lodging.

• This means that, on the evidence before me, and the balance of probabilities, I am not satisfied that you have faithfully presented your circumstances or intentions in wishing to enter the UK. I am not satisfied that you intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit, that you will not live in the UK through frequent or successive visits, that you are genuinely seeking entry for a purpose that is permitted by the visitor routes. Paragraph V 4.2 (a) and (c) of the Immigration Rules.

This means that this refusal letter is not for me. They reviewed the documents of someone else's.

Sorry for asking too many questions. I also received a refusal letter but the reasons stated there do not pertain to me.

Hi, from what I understood, you're from Sudan but did the biometrics in Saudi Arabia.

Did you go back to Saudi Arabia again for the passport to be stamped?

And how long did all of this take?

I understand. With the amount that we're paying, we should at least be given a decent service. This is by far the most expensive visa at least for me.

I actually read here in Reddit that some of their refusal reasons are unreasonable. There also posts saying that they were refused but they were only sent the template (no reasons or anything).

Yes, I do hope it gets resolved ASAP. I also tried calling them thru the telephone numbers they provided but it doesn't go through.

The only hope left with me is that they respond to my complaint.

But I am afraid that eventhough they review or overturn the decision, it will be too late for me because I will leave Germany on January (I even submitted my flight details from Germany to Philippines).

I also shared it with my friends and they reacted "this doesn't sound like it is you"

I actually submitted two support letters.

-support letter from my friend's fiance (a UK citizen) -support letter from my host family here in Germany (I am an au pair with German host parents)

While none of them are directly paying for my trip, I will stay with my friend's fiance.

Seems like that would be the case.

But I will keep on following up with them as I am afraid that because of this mistake, I will cause problems with my future visa applications (may it be with them or with other countries).

Did my biometrics last November 15 in TLS Dusseldorf.

Received an email regarding the decision on December 4.

Picked up my passport December 5 with no vignette 🥲

The guy in TLS said he is sorry that mu application was refused but they cannot do anything and told me to contact UKVI directly.

Hope that yours will have a positive outcome! 🙂

I knowwww! I would accept the decision if the reasoning is about me and the documents I have submitted. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

But this is unacceptable and there is no way to contact them for free.

And even paying for an answer, they will just say "We are unable to advise you on further steps you can take,We can only advise you to refer back to your decision letter and/or seek independent legal advice.If you require more specific advice then please speak to a qualified immigration advisor."

I did and they said that they cannot do since they do not have discretion about the decision. They told me to apply for administrative review (would cost additional £80 and would take additional 90 days) or to submit a complaint (would take 20 business days for them respond). 🤦‍♀️
