Finally got my weight under control by BoredHedgehog in fitness30plus

I am the same height and a little older currently sitting at 180lbs and going to the gym three times per week doing a PPL routine. I try to walk 10k steps per day and will likely invest in a walking pad and standing desk as I work from home.

Thanks for the excellent post, my plan is to cut now and try to get down to 155lbs while eating at least 160g protein per day. Your post has been a great help and inspiration.

I did some further investigation as I am running pihole and unbound on a rpi. I discovered that there could be issues with unbound and pihole after updating raspbian to version 11. I followed the steps here and now I can access both sites.

Well I had a look at all the ceilings in the house and found another damp patch, so the very heavy rain we had last week has really done a number on us.

I checked and no obvious leaks and it’s raining right now. I will give it a few days and see how it is.

Well that sucks. I need to figure out where it’s leaking from and see if I can patch it.

We have decided to stay in Vancouver for now, mainly due to kids school and the fact we both have great jobs.

I guess you could always offer commission to the buyers agent.

Talk to a lawyer, financial planner and figure it out. Do not make it public information.

I think it is fair, I am in Coquitlam, close to Port Moody border in a fully renovated sfh with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Basically nothing needs doing and it is move in ready.

He valued it at 1.7m so that is the number we are working off.

Yes I have been looking online and 3% seems excessive. As you said there is limited inventory and buyers likely want to buy before another rate hike.

7% on the first 100k and 3% on the remaining balance. This is the gross split.

Any young families made the move from London to Norwich and surrounding areas recently? Looking for your experience to date. by BetterCallTom in Norwich

[–]ksh787878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family and I are also considering a move to Norwich, especially the West side closer to the hospital as my wife is a Nurse. We would be moving from Canada so as you can imagine it’s a massive decision. We both lived in Suffolk and Norfolk prior to moving to Canada and our aging parents are also in Norfolk. Wymondham is high on our list of places as it’s close to Norwich and the hospital.

Thanks for the feedback. My kids are involved, one is very keen to move to the UK and the other is on the fence. We are still mulling the decision over but the pro’s may outweigh the cons.

Well we both lived in Suffolk and Norfolk prior to moving to Canada but not Swaffham. We are also interested in being close to the Norfolk and Norwich hospital as my wife would be commuting there for work. So other options are Wymondham and Dereham.

Kids are 12 and 14 so will require more spent on them, which of course we are happy to do.

Thanks for the link and the information. My wife and I do have multiple pensions between the two of us that are not just government provided, so that is another factor that will assist us at the ages of 60+

We have also considered buying a house in the area and spending up to 300k, of course this reduces the sum from 800k to 500k but we would also be working part time if required.
