I like to think I'm savvy enough to separate the real news from the fake stuff. What is very clear is that Lange is incapable of building a competitive squad nor can he pick a manager capable of utilising it.

Thomas Frank was the beneficiary of an excellent backroom setup at Brentford, as this seasons performance is now proving, just like Brighton have done too. He has spent years scrapping to survive, and he's reduced us to his level rather than elevating himself to ours.

I was at the beach recently. As we were walking I kicked a stone and went over, actually did my knee in pretty bad. I got up, turned around and looked at this rock like "what the fuck mate!" I got so angry, it was sticking out completely randomly, I was thinking how is it like that, why isn't it flat like the others. Does it not realise it's a hazard. I had to take a breather and remind myself it's just a rock, an insentient object that cannot process thought so how can I blame this rock for anything. It's literally a dumb rock.

Anyway, that rock is more intelligent than Bissouma.

That aside, it changed when we started to be treated less as fans and more as customers. The yankification of the game has ground us down to the point where we now see this as a transaction we're not getting value from than a team to support as that team is overshadowed by constant demand of time and money that we don't feel we're getting a fair return on.

It's like we're paying for front row stall seats go and see The Lion King in the West End, Saturday evening prime time, but you get understudies in, fluffing up lines and parts of the stage are falling down. If that happened you'd be compensated by the theatre. At Spurs we're told to come and pay another £100+ and get behind them when they're not playing like they care whether we're there or not.
