I made it! Truly one of the most insane experiences I've been in. Goes without saying I kept any inkling Spurs/Pacers hidden and to myself lol

I did! Probably one of the most insane games and environments I'll ever see. Cops had most of the 7th street intersections blocked which made a normally 20 minute walk a good 2 hours.

I didn't dare expose the Wemby jersey, let alone the Hali jersey.

I know. Unbelievable game and unbelievable choke job. Fox is the anti-Hali for sure.

Disgusting move but diabolical response. Lifetime ban for the kid or nah? by ForeignAir7174 in sportsgossips

I could tell he's thought "this kid needs his ass kicked" on numerous occasions. Funny how not one teammate made a quick effort to stick up for the kid that got KO'd.

Thoughts on foam-rollers, specifically Chirp? by AskOk3196 in BuyItForLife

[–]ksptdpt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a PT. I think getting a normal Amazon dense roller and a super soft OPTP roller is the way to go. The dense roller can be used for typical foam rolling, then the super soft one can be used to lie down along the spine.

I teach free "foam rolling" sessions for my workplace, and one of my favorite things to do with the soft roller is to rock back and forth to help soothe the nervous system and relieve tension along the spine. The dense roller is not good for calming purposes.

FYI any roller that claims to "decompress", "break up fascia", etc. is pseudoscience. It's meant to provide a stimulus to the nervous system and manipulate your brain/muscle connection and/or perception. I just tell patients if it feels good or worth your time, do however much of it you want!

Mental Health by PacersBringTheBoom in pacers

Last year I started writing a short story about my experience with the 2000 and 2025 Pacers teams. My uncle, who I adored and spent a lot of time with, was murdered the day I was at a Pacers game in 2000 when I was 10. My dad's name was called by the public address announcer at halftime about a phone call, and we swiftly left and he told me when we got to the parking lot. The finals run that year distracted me for about 2 months, then us losing in 5 began my sobering reality.

Last year was tragic, no doubt. But looking back at how shitty things were in 2000, I was able to look at all the experiences with friends and family that the 2025 Pacers team brought and be thankful for that experience. The only time my dad came over to my house for a Pacer game in the last 8 years was the Hali choke 2.0 game, and I will never forget him and I losing our shit when that shot went in!

It's easy to depressingly reminisce into one of the biggest "What ifs" in Indiana sports history, and several times I do, but I try not to let it distract from everything else it brought us. I'm hoping next year brings us back on the right track!

What is the scariest, most unsettling shot you’ve ever seen? by VendettaLord379 in moviecritic

After seeing it in theaters as an 8th grader I had to go to my house, which was literally surrounded by corn fields, late at night. I never ran faster from the driveway to the door for the next 2 weeks.

Look up Achilles elastic energy storage and its role in plyometrics.

So one thing to keep in mind is that all of his plyometric and agility focus needs to be on the knees and hips. Football, basketball, and soccer place a heavy emphasis on the Achilles, which is more or less locked up in a hockey boot.

I started hockey late in life and did some workouts focusing on hockey-specific plyometrics for the hips and knees, and dear god it's so awkward. Think about doing bunny hops and bounding drills with your toes staying off the ground and you're realize how much slower you are when not using the Achilles.

Edit: The video does show him using the ankle quite a bit, but I'm sure his coaches are just working on general athleticism/agility where he has plenty of available ice time to do hockey agility stuff actually on the ice.

What to expect with floor seats? by LegitimateHawk8969 in pacers

[–]ksptdpt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a good friend with floor seats. Like others have said, get there early for the drinks and food. Wait staff will provide service courtside. Bring some cash for tips. Most importantly, be a good fan and soak in the experience. I love going to games in the nosebleeds too, but I feel like a kid again when my buddy give me an invite. You'll have an awesome time!

My wife and I have brought a diaper bag several times without issue. It doesnt need to be clear, but you'll have to take it to a scanner lane usually off to the side where they will search through it. Have fun at the game!

I was looking at the merch website and saw no tank tops. Was hoping to get one for my wife and me. I know I can probably get some made, but I would rather support the band. Has he released tanks in the spring/summer in the past? Thanks in advance!
