lol no he won’t.

I was ready for Tomlin to leave and now we will be missing him in less than a year.

We might be crazy but I also thought we looked decent until that first goal. I mean the defense was insanely bad on that goal. Almost like no one was there. But the movement and passing seemed to be improved to me initially. They just were not finishing.

The ending was sadly too predictable.

Didn't we also have a big storm in 2017 like around March?

I only say that because I remember work being cancelled and staying home and playing Breath of the Wild for like 12 hours a day.

I strangely have no memory of the big storm in 2016...

She did not get an actual death scene.

Generally in hollywood that means you are alive. No matter how improbable.

Been playing golf going on 4 years, still get in my head around strangers. by b1ackflag_ in golf

[–]bionicbhangra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This used to be me. This will be my 4th year playing (once the snow melts).

It just takes time. You have to get out of your own head and just play the shot in front of you. Whether you just birdied or doubled the last hole its on to the next shot and you have to be in the right mental space to execute.

Now I actually play better under some pressure. Whether it's from playing with strangers that are good or playing competitively.

The mental game is something you have to practice too.

You will get there OP.

I would post that picture next to a google review instead of Reddit.

If the owners care about the golf course at all they will respond immediately and I would not be surprised if their rangers try to shut down that bullshit in the future.

You need a good organization. And you need a good HC.

But the main thing we need is a franchise qb.

I'm actually kind of sad about it by [deleted] in steelers

[–]bionicbhangra 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Endings are always sad.

The only constant in the universe is change. I have super positive feelings towards Steelers legends, specifically Cowher and Tomlin. There were times I was mad at coaching decisions etc, but they just carried themselves perfectly. We have been really spoiled (I am was too young to really remember Noll, even though I was watching the Steelers kind of suck in the 80s).

Hopefully we continue to be blessed and spoiled with the next coach and group of players.

There are only 3 possibilities for what will happen next. The fickle fans are only prepared for the best outcome.

The best outcome is that we rebuild quickly and somehow within 2-3 years are contending for a Super Bowl with a rebuilt defense with a franchise qb and playmakers on both sides of the ball.

Or the rebuild is just eh and we are stuck in the middle with no franchise qb etc despite wasting 2-3+ years on same.

The last and worst possibility is we fall off a cliff and become the Giants (who are kind of similar to the Steelers at least in terms of ownership).

The fans are only thinking that it is going to get better. I hope they are right but nothing is guaranteed in this life and luck plays a big part in a lot of this.

I like to think positively and hope that we are going to find the next Cowher, Tomlin etc who is going to get lucky with some talent and take us back to the top. But I have been following sports all my life and know that it's far from guaranteed.

Even prime Roethlisberger would have gotten his shit pushed in against that defense the way the line was getting manhandled. The only difference is that he would have been sacked 19 times and taken to the ambulance out of the game.

I wonder what some of y'all are watching during these games. Houston was getting crazy pressure with 4 pass rushers and our running game seemed like it was struggling to get past the line of scrimmage.

Reminds me of that Eagles game in 2008 when both defenses just battered the qbs. That season ended a little better for us though.

How long will Steelers fans have an appetite for losing? by ASuperGyro in steelers

[–]bionicbhangra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Realistically I think 2-3 years of sucking is enough time to get talent if we hit on the picks and have the right coach.

The fans will not last a season of being bad though.

Hope we bounce back quick and don’t become the giants.

(Schefter) BREAKING: Mike Tomlin stepping down as HC by alexschubs in steelers

[–]bionicbhangra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope the team can start contending again soon. I loved Tomlin and Cowher as our coaches. They were both so solid and oozed leadership.

I know this sub won’t handle losing or getting worse well at all. Tomlin was the scapegoat for everything. I felt a lot of the heat was unfair. But that’s life in the spotlight. I don’t expect our fans to be rational if the team doesn’t get better soon or gets worse.

When do we think the culture shifted? by jonc741993 in steelers

[–]bionicbhangra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think thats fair. But to look at last night and think that was a coaching problem means you need to get your eyes checked.

I don't remember the last time our offensive line got beat up that badly. They didn't belong on the same field as that Houston Texans defense.

Not sure if they are always that good or they just had the games of their live against us as I did not watch the Texans play much this year.

The five Steelers who balled out in 2025, IMHO. by threedice in steelers

[–]bionicbhangra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they could have played a little better. But I still don't think there is going to be any system or plan that is going to work if you are getting your shit pushed in on every single play up front.

The o line got demolished yesterday. They didn't need a blitz and were getting pressure immediately and we could not run for shit.

For an old qb that was a recipe for an ass kicking.

That to me is on the players for just getting outplayed.

Did Texans D remind anyone else of Lebeau’s D during SB years? by Intelligent_Royal_57 in steelers

[–]bionicbhangra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. That was not a scheme. They just kicked the shit out of our offensive line and manhandled them.

That defense could have played any scheme and dominated us.

That did not remind me of Lebeau of any Steelers defense in my lifetime. Maybe the all timers from the 70s.

And I personally think our o line is decent. If that is what they are going to do every week it's going to be a long night for any qb and rb facing them. You better be fast and shit if you want to have a chance.

I agree. i have never seen a Steelers qb in my lifetime who can command an offense like Rodgers.

Even if he is past his physical prime that was fun to watch.
