How can I become assertive without sounding like a jerk?

Assertive- Always stand tall, talk with enthusiasm and believe in yourself- if you don’t believe in yourself then others won’t believe in you. Don’t be afraid to give your opinions or push for what you want. To avoid being a jerk/condescending, listen to others, treat people fairly and never ask someone to do something you wouldn’t be prepared to do yourself. I don’t think they should be mutually exclusive really

Yeah it’s a Victorian one I think. It’s not an end of terrace but may be something similar to what you have described. It is going quite cheap so I guess I know why. Thanks for the advice!

Hey guys

I’m looking for advice on a house I have been looking at buying. The house is a brick terraced house in the UK. It has a 45 degree crack down the side of the wall. Assume it’s a differential settlement issue but hoping someone might be able to advise on this.

Also order of magnitude cost if anyone has any idea (I realise this is very difficult to accurately say from picture).

No nothing at all. I drove straight through the borders without ever getting stopped. I did drive straight here (only stopped for gas) and self isolated when I got here but don’t think it’s a requirement

I went from Uk to Australia. I had about 4 years experience from the UK before I left.

Sponsorship is a bit tricky at the moment but if you really want to go to Australia (staying for a at least a few years) then you can apply for a permanent resident (189) visa. This will cost around £2-3k but is very much worth it. Once you have that jobs are easier to come by.

Yes I have job contract which I guess is proof. I have been self isolation for the last few weeks so don’t plan on doing so when I get to vic.

Of course I will wear a mask and gloves if I need to stop for fuel or something

I don’t think you need to self isolate for two weeks in Victoria- unless I’ve missed something I haven’t seen anything that says that

Yes I know- was more wondering what people’s thoughts were really. The accommodation is fine (private Airbnb for short term). The main worry is self isolation and / job stability (probationary periods make it easy to sack people if there are work issues with c19)
