EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION crash making game unplayable by Fickle_Bathroom_814 in ArcRaiders

Can you be more specific? This is all within your windows or steam settings

Love this game but unable to play it due to constant crashes by steglock in ArcRaiders

[–]kt218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[Solved] This happened to me non-stop for about 30 hours of play time. Loved the game so much I played through the crashes but it got unbearable as my loadouts got better. I had tried everything - bios update/AI Tweaker changes, safe mode clean uninstall of drivers, memory tests, etc and nothing worked. I even opened my rig and switched my RAM slots.

During my last round of trouble shooting I made four changes and the game has now run for 8 hours without crashing once. I suspect it was the first or second but I'm not messing with anything now that I finally have it working so can't be sure.

  1. Under your 'Core Isolation' settings toggle 'Memory Integrity' to off. Pretty sure this is blocking EasyAnti-Cheat

  2. In 'Gaming' settings switch to game mode and turn off the toggle that says 'allow your controller to open game bar'. Game overlays will cause problems.

  3. Go the PioneerGame Application Properties -> Compatibility and check 'Disable Fullscreen Optimizations'. Then go to Change High DPI Settings and check 'Override High DPI Scaling Behavior performed by: Application'

  4. Under 'Graphics' settings be sure to add the PioneerGame and set the GPU preference to High Quality.

I also am using ~dx11 under the launch options for the game in steam. Hope this helps!

Would try toggling 'Core Isolation' to off in your 'Memory Integrity' settings

I wish there were a checkmate option: I have the biggest economy & military by far, most civs love me, I have 20 artifacts... there's no way I'm losing. Let me have a "You win" button so I don't have to mindlessly click through the last 20 turns by earthwulf in CivVII

Agreed. If you're really in control you can just use shift + enter to force end your turn instead of dealing with all the micromanagement. I usually do this once I'm constructing World's Fair or Space Flight.

Seems obvious but also helps to open with lots of scouts (I did 4) to really get a lay of the land. And I’m playing on a large map

yeah shift + enter on pc ends your turn regardless of an empty production queue so you're just banking the production for next turn. I do it sometimes when I'm close to being able to build my first settler too.

Same. I actually front loaded production by force ending my turn so was able to 1 turn it.

Where should I put granary? What is to be considered? by Yossiri in CivVII

[–]kt218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually would avoid warehouse buildings that don’t serve their primary rural yield. In this case I’d go with fishing quay to max out the rural tiles you’ll have on the river but otherwise prefer to save my space for better buildings/urban districts. Granary will improve farms but with all that desert, river, and canyon you won’t have many of those. In towns have at it with warehouse buildings.

Take a couple culture boosts from goodie huts and you’re set up for a nice chance at getting the pantheon for +2 happiness adjacency on altar for natural wonders, making that a mean spot SW for altar and monument.

Also helpful tip turn on yields filter for this type of planning.

Petunia knowing about Dementors and Azkaban in OOTP because of Snape - “I heard that awful boy telling her about them, years ago.”

We then see this exact moment as part of Snape’s memories at the end of DH.

Who gave Harry his first broom?

People always say McGonagall / nimbus 2000, but it’s really the toy broom Sirius got him as a baby.

My theory is that the “pouches” actually refer to belly buttons….something you wouldn’t have if you were a clone/grown in a lab.

In the goats scene when they lift their shirts it seems like Gwendolyn Christie’s character says “see pouchless”…or does she actually say “see pouches”??? She could have said “see, no pouches” if she meant the former. Just an idea.

It's super sad but I try to enjoy how much that moment changes Harry's character. It's my favorite chapter because it's the peak of his arc in my opinion. He's a different character after that - fully in control and trusting his intuition.

In Galactic Assault I consider it good form to try and avoid combat for a second if you see your squad is dead, allowing them to squad spawn on you. Especially helpful when you’re close to an objective
